Advising US Buyers on our CP strike delays?

I got a person in the US making me an offer on an item.  With our CP strike, the delivery time might be longer of what the expected delivery time is in the listing under "Shipping and Payments".

1) is ebay in any way (when they log in, look at listings from Canadian sellers etc) telling US buyers about possible delays in shipping because of our CP strike

2) should we be advising them in listings, or before we accept an offer, of possible delays?

Are you shipping with tracking?

If you are, then don't worry.

If they are of use here are my current wordings I send to all buyers:

First time buyers:

Thank you for your purchase and quick payment.  Your parcel has been shipped out today, Monday XXXXXXX.  Please note that Canada Post is now experiencing rotating strikes, which may cause delivery delays. I very much appreciate your extra patience regarding any delays impacting arrival time. Once the parcel arrives, I hope you will find everything satisfactory.  If you are not completely pleased with this transaction, please contact me via email.  I will do my very best to resolve any problem you may have.  Regards, RICARMIC (Ron)

Repeat buyers:

Please note that Canada Post is now experiencing rotating strikes, which may cause delivery delays. I very much appreciate your extra patience regarding any delays impacting arrival time. I've been getting more than usual responses from buyers who have received it and so far all have been positive.

My USA-bound parcels leave Canada within 36 hours of acceptance at the post office so I think USA buyers will see little if any delay due to the rotating strikes unless that strike is in Mississauga at that moment.

Still. It doesn’t hurt to be cautious and let the buyer know there may be a slight delay. I haven’t seen any delay yet with parcel movement as a result of the job action but that’s not to say it won’t heat up a little bit.

But, don’t panic. I wouldn’t let these rotating strikes influence at all whether I accept a Best Offer. If the price is right, go for it.

Mississauga or Richmond, I mean. I think I’ve had California-bound parcels go west from Winnipeg instead of east like all the others. Richmond is my last stop for items going to Asia or Australia and I think South America; Montreal is the last stop for items bound for Europe, and Mississauga is where from 98.5 percent of my southbound items depart.

Advising US Buyers on our CP strike delays?

thanks - I asked this question on another thread. I never pay for tracking so I have no idea where my US packages go - but I assumed they go to Richmond and then are in the US within 2 days.

Mostly what this means is US packages are not really affected. Packages in Canada can be affected by multiple areas striking in succession. Perhaps 2-3 days per location. I had something sent expedited from GTA to Metro Vancouver that took over 2 weeks, and i think it was because it coincidentally got held up in 2 or more cities on it's way here.

I'm trying to send what I can by express post...
