Only my secondary pierrelebel-canada User ID (registered with eBay.ca) received the invitation (so far).
My main pierrelebel User ID (registered with eBay.com in 1998) has not (yet).
It has been the same patterm for most promotions lately.

Pierre, do you happen to have any idea what the parameters for invitation are? Needless to say, I'm crushed that I didn't receive one (hahaha). 😞

eBay has never given any indication about their selection process but it appears that sellers with an eBay store are seldom invited.
That said, this User ID does not have a store (closed last November) and I seldom get invited. I feel the problem in my case may be that I am a "legacy user" (Canadian registered on eBay.com in the last century) and often miss out on promotional deals.

I wonder why eBay is churning out all these promos so often lately. Did it significantly increase their revenue that made churning these promos out to occasional/new sellers worthwhile? I remember 1 year or 2 ago there were never much of these promos and I always use up my monthly 50 frees, now my 50 free monthly listings are almost always untouched.
I just did the 30 days FP listings so I guess I'll pass this time around. Seems kinda silly to end them just to relist for 7 days auction when I don't have to deal with my FP listings for the next 27 days lol.

I just checked and I received the invitations on my other id's which I don't use much. None for this one. The promo is auction + BIN as long as it doesn't violate the duplicate listing policy. You also get a free subtitle.

I to have noticed an increase in Ebay promotions in the last year. Maybe, just maybe the Directors who think up these promotions also think up promotions for OLG, Ontario Lottery and Gaming. The promotions are geared toward income for OLG and Ebay. As a user you have no real input as to what you feel are areas that need improvement, but you are surveyed for your opinions

I also was registered in 1998 on eBay.com but I did receive the invitation - and have received all but one of the "invite-only" promo's over the past year or so.

"and have received all but one"
I can only guess eBay likes you much more than me. 😞

Just noticed eBay.com (not eBay.ca) did send me an invitation to my main account "pierrelebel" late last night. It was not sent by email as usual but did show up in "my messages". I noticed it a few minutes ago! 🙂

Same thing here, between my two id's (one store, one non-store). All the promos went to this Store id up to June and then from July on only to my non-store id up to January when they have been going mostly to this id with one that was duplicated on both.
Why am I so lucky? Maybe it's because since March of last year I have listed ONLY on promo's, if I don't get a promo eBay makes nothing from me.
From March 2012 to date I paid a total of $0.00 in listing fees.

I never got the e-mail but when I went under 'All Selling' and went to the bottom of the list it showed my 50 free used up and then it showed the 75.000. So I do have it and you may too.

My eBay id is old and a non-store for 2 years now. I got all the promos since they started until mid November 2012. Then they stopped.
I posted about My eBay account settings to not get eBay promo emails and if it affects getting the promo invitations or not. I read on ebay.com where someone posted to turn on getting promos.
I had turned off my ebay communication settings a long time ago to stop the annoying message and emails from ebay.
Well, I did turn back on some of the eBay setting for contact from eBay at the mid-end of January and I have been getting the promos since.
Now I do not really believe it made me get invited again but I cannot put aside the idea completely that it did not work.
So if you are not getting any invitations to promos and have your setting set to not receive eBay promo details information, then this may help.
Ironically, I only received one eBay message for the promos!
So if you are desperate to get the promos, try turning on the options.
My eBay -> Account -> Communication Preferences then way at the bottom there is Promotions and Surveys, click on show on the right. I checked of the middle three. I did not check off Surveys at the top or the phone updates at the bottom.
I know it sounds crazy to do this but all I cared about was getting back on the invite list. Whether it was a factor I do not know. I now seem to be on the invite list again.
