I've got banknotes, coins, and stamps, but I took them down after the announcement that they need formal entry (until things are sorted out and I know how this is going to work).
Wondered if anyone else is selling stuff from there, and if we can use this thread to share information about what's needed to ship Chinese product.
I sent a message to Stallion tonight to address some concerns, like what if it's Hong Kong before 1997 (I get that on some things you can't prove that, but stamps with Queen Elizabeth and banknotes and coins with dates), then there's Macau which they didn't mention, but it's part of China now too. And what about Chinese banknotes from before the PRC? I have banknotes from the 1930s and 40s, pre PRC.
So while I get they are tariffing China and Hong Kong, are they specifying that they mean the PRC.
I know with embargoed goods on eBay they don't differentiate between pre-embargo and current embargo (for instance someone on the dot com Sellers forum had stamps pulled from the USSR and Russia pre-USSR). I'm sure they will clear Customs if Customs differentiates between current Russia and the previous countries that Russia was called, but since eBay doesn't allow those goods I never found out. My Russia stuff is being sold at the B&M store where they have a lot of Canadian customers (and embargo doesn't apply).

Wow, that's nuts.
What about shipments from Canada with China made goods?

I'm still thinking about this... I don't think they thought this through on how much work it would be to impose tariffs. Imagine if they had imposed them on Canada and Mexico. I don't think there are 1 billion packages from Canada, but from what I see at Stallion when I drop stuff off close to their closing them, there are an awful lot of packages going to the US.

Stallion may not be the right place the get quick answers. They have a quite small team and these individual product questions would likely take some time. The question I would first try to ask is whether any shipments pass through given the system has been halted.

They don't usually respond quickly, but they do eventually respond. If my items are offline for a week or two while I wait to find out, that's OK. When Stallion does get around to responding they look into my query and provide answers. I'm sure I'm not the only person who wants to know about pre-China HK product, so I think it's a valid question.
My alternative is to move stuff to the dot ca account. On the dot com account I ship items from the US, so if I can't get them across I need other options.

Do you use shipping policies? It's easier than move stuff from one site to another. I don't see why you would want to do that?

The problem is, on the dot com site, I have my location as USA. If I can't get the items across the border to ship them as domestic packages, I can't sell them on the dot com site. So that's why I would move them, so they would be located in Canada, and then buyers would know that they have to pay tariffs if that comes into play.

I hope so. If you noted the NYK Post trucks were returned today at the border. I wonder if Canada Post gets updates about this faster as they themselves would be dealing with gigantic issue having already issues processing packages in their hubs.

Can't you change location? You have US ebay account right? I had location set to US and changed to Canada about 1 or 2 years ago. (That was after the ebay payments conversion).
