Buyers able to leave negative feedback on cancelled orders

Hello everyone, I recently canceled an order where the shipping name was different than the name on the account, as per my shipping policy stated in the description. Reason for doing this is simple, in the past, any chargebacks I had were from accounts were the names were different, and the accounts turned out to be hacked. Ive had no issues so far, cancelling on average 4-5 orders a week, however this particular time, the cancelled buyer left negative  feedback. as an aside, this ability to leave feedback for buyers in this case seems absolutely ridiculous. Contacted Ebay and they told me their agents dont have the abilty to remove feedback anymore, and also said the link to request feedback to be removed will not be available for 60 days.

Any other suggestions?

P.S. already asked the buyer to revise his feedback but this is an useless option in my opinion

with one going criss cross across the country from Ontario to Alberta and back lol.

That's spoke and hub delivery.

Used by most shippers (including UPS and practically invented by FedEx) and of course by airlines.

This is Air Canada -- try to get from Fort Mac to St John's without changing planes at least twice. Or without passing through Vancouver.

Xpress, their fastest option, takes a week.

Priority Post is faster. Also more expensive.

Plus there is no signature option anymore, at all.

As has been reiterated in this thread and others, eBay will accept a package as Signature Confirmed Delivery if the sender purchased SC, even though the PO will not actually get a signature. The purchase of the service suffices.

The PO clerk may think you're nuts, but that's her problem.

The spoke and hub delivery cannot be used as an excuse for an item getting to the destination city than going back to the originating city, making the same trip twice. Clearly a mistake was made in this case ...

the signature confirmation is not even offered as an option anymore when paying thru ebay labels or even directly thru the canada post website. Priority is more expensive than UPS/Purolator thru Netparcel and slower, plus again, no signature confirmation, not even as an option last time I checked a week ago. So moot point, at least in my case, if UPS/Purolator does not deliver to you with signature confirmation, you are getting a refund, and a seller has the right to make this choice without fear of negative feedback as long as it's made clear ahead of time. Many others do make this choice when they refuse to ship to Northwest Territories, Yukon or Nunavut, or Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico in the US for example.

Here's another sitation encountered today that could potentially lead to negative feedback although I'm perfectly entitled to cancel the order. An order by a customer from Yukon was charged the Alberta urban shipping rate of $34.76 instead of the Yukon one of $102.81.
