Charge for Accrued Selling Costs

I was looking through my April financial statement and ran across a line under charges for "Charge for accrued selling costs". Does anyone have any idea what that's about? Screenshot 2023-05-04 235201.jpg

Okay, so I got another one of these. I checked my accounts, and two of them had outstanding balances. eBay was still pulling money into and out of my bank account like normal, but for some reason the charges for the shipping labels were not done automatically. This was causing me to get charged a fee for outstanding balance instead of the money being pulled from my account as it should be doing. I wasn't using eBay labels previously, so I don't know if this is a new issue since the level 4 change or if it's normal and it just never affected me before.

My number 1 reason to be nervous to use eBay Labels from day 1. Not ever knowing where funds will be removed from...Eventually!! Same reason...still!!!!

1 example for you. As far as I know there is no other way to message you directly with concerns or to follow up with additional information. You can be friended but not messaged. With Tyler the option was turned on.

With the dot com/UK/AU etc boards I get a notification if I am tagged. This appears to not "always" happer with the ca board.

Okay, so I think I finally figured this out! There's a section in the Seller Hub under Payments for "Selling costs" (at the bottom). None of my stores had a payment method linked to there. I don't recall that section being there before, so I'm thinking it might be new? My stores definitely had the selling cost payments working correctly a few months ago, and I didn't change anything. eBay probably split up the payouts and the selling costs, where before I think they had to use the same account?

I'd suggest everyone should be checking to make sure they have an account properly linked there. I also noticed that you can apparently pay for the selling costs (like labels) by credit card now. I don't recall that option before either, although maybe I just didn't see it.

Where can you pay for labels with Credit card? I have no option on ebay to select a credit card. If i use ebay labels it shows

Pay with

We'll charge you after the shipping label is printed.
By clicking "Purchase shipping label" you agree to these Delivery Service Terms & Conditions and to your information being passed to Canada Post for the purpose of providing you with access to this service and for related purposes.

Is there  a place to set up a credit card vs using manage payment funds?

Go to the Seller Hub -> Payments and scroll to the bottom to the payments section for "Seller costs". It seems to have credit card as an option. I assume it would probably try to take costs out of any pending funds first if you've had sales since, but who knows at this point.

Oh, Yeah I have that set up already. But you cant use it as the first option to pay for a label as there is noy button, everything just comes out of managed payment balance. I would rather charge any labels and store fees, then pay it off on my credit card (get points that way lol)
