Chit Chats Tracking Not Updating - Will This Affect Top Rated Seller Status?

I have 5 packages sent last week with ChitChats, where tracking is not updating on Ebay.  I've been using ChitChats for months without issue - all other tracking is fine - it's only last weeks that only show I've only entered tracking (despite showing in transit on ChitChats website).  It's been 5 days since they were shipped, so plenty of time to update.

I've had the same issue with some Canada Post tracking, as well (only a couple of random sales, here and there).  The issue is still present with those - sold weeks ago, too.  I wasn't too concerned about these, because there were only a couple, and it at least shows them as 'in transit'.  This latest issue with ChitChats is 5 packages that don't even show them as being received - enough to ruin my Top Rated Seller Status.

Anyone have any ideas what the issue is lately?  If it's ongoing, it will continue to threaten everyone's top rated seller status.

Canadian trs doesn’t require tracking  but it’s possible that you could get a late shipment ding if it didn’t show as delivered until after the estimated delivery date and the there was no record of it being scanned within your handling time.  Your trs status wouldn’t be affected unless you had more than 5 late shipments AND the percentage was more than 5%.

Hi @teenytrinkets - I haven't heard of an issue with Chit Chats not updating specifically, so not certain where that could be coming from. 

@pjcdn2005 is correct about the Top Rated requirements, so I'm not overly concerned about you losing that status, but would you keep an eye on your Chit Chat shipments to see if the same thing happens?

Unfortunately, I now have 10 shipments all with the same issue. All appear to be just "Tracking number provided" and zero updates. I've raised a ticket for the tech team to look into this.

Is ebay able to manually remove the late shipment dings if this issue isn't resolved by month's end?

Are these domestic orders, or orders to the USA?

If they are to the USA, do you have your eBay store synced with your Chit Chat account so that tracking numbers are added automatically after you create the label (or within the set number of days you have Chit Chat set at to fulfill the order)?

If your store isn't synced, and you are copying over the Chit Chat tracking number, rather than the actual USPS tracking number, that might be your issue. Either sync your store so that it is automated, or copy over the actual USPS tracking # (ignoring the Chit Chat #) and select USPS as the carrier.
