I hate the use of the word Defect in this new system. It sounds very negative and is not at all helpful in any potentially stressful situations with a buyer. I do hope that the buyer does not see that term when opening a case or issue. Not a good way to start an issue.

They have lots of experience with "defects" on SC, that board has been infected with defects for years!
If these sellers spent as much time working on their listings and customer service they would be miles ahead of the game.
I love all the discussions about how to avoid defects but nobody ever suggests that the best way is to simply have happy customers by giving them what they expect and getting it to them in a timely fashion.

SC is "mild" compared to years ago... when sellers could leave negative FeedBack for buyers.
Vile it was...
Best described as... Shoot first and ask questions later.....
Somewhat a combination of High Noon, OK Corral and Dodge City
