Dumb Question About Postage Labels: Does the Paper Have to be White?

So, I'm settling into a long night of packing orders and discover I've no paper left for my printer. Well, not quite. I have no printer paper left but I do have a lovely minty green cardstock.

Can I use this to print my postage labels without repercussion? It's light green so the label information will still be clearly legible.

I guess I'll find out at the postal counter tomorrow morning......

Festive. Maybe the buyer will think I'm already in the mood for the holidays.

The weight isn't important as long as the tape you use holds it down. And it looks like it will go through your printer too.

It's a thin cardstock, not like a coverstock, and I can stuff it into my adhesive pouches which I was forced to buy in a minimum quantity of 1000 so I'll have adhesive pouches until I die.

I've run out of minty green paper now, too. Moving on to lemon meringue yellow. I'm going to get *looks* at the post office tomorrow.

One of the useless things I learned in my political days-- the most eyecatching colourstock is marigold yellow.

Even better than the 'fluorescent' colours.

As long as the post office scanners can read the bar code, there should be no issue.

I heard today that red envelopes present a problem for lettermail.
