I am sending an item from Canada to the UK. I have purchased a FedEx label from eBay, but there is only a shipping label (no customs label). Does anyone know what is required for a FedEx international shipment?

When you filled in the customs portion (should be at the bottom of the page) it embeds the info into the bar code so it can be scanned by Fedex staff and customs personal. It works the same with UPS.

No, just the single label is enough. When it's scanned by FedEx's computers the customs information will show up digitally to them. Works the same with UPS.
And make sure you spend countless days reading every import policy of the US border site. Because I guarentee fedex will hold up your package asking for dropball certificates, or other nonsense
