Hello,
Just woke up and fid out all set up.
Monthly Invoice for August 2020 , due Today $ 771.92
I have Yearly Basic Store Subscription $ 22.54 .
I don't use any eBay Tolls OR have any other Subscription.
Did eBay remove FVF CAP for Canadian Sellers ?
I don't use Managed Payment . Is it possible that eBay switch without asking ?
Thank you

Did you sell around ~$7500 worth of items? The FVF Cap is per transaction and only counts if the sale is for more than $2500, not for total amount of sales.

I didn't Sell even close to $ 7500.
In Invoice is shown that I'm charge FVF for each Transaction without any cuts.
The highest Transaction was $ 1.058
Thank you

I just get back from ebay CS .
They confirm that there in no more FVF CAP .

Given the profound distrust most of us have for Customer Support, can you confirm there is no cap on FVF fees on high value sales?
Also, a different question.
I got an invoice for $7.88 on this account, separate from my monthly fee invoice.
Both were automatically paid.
There was nothing on the invoice explaining what it might be for.
I am still not in Managed Payments, because of the US funds controversy.

According to the following page there is a cap of $250 fvf per transaction if you have a basic store or higher. There has never been a cap of total fvf owed.
But your bill does sound high. Did you go through the invoice? Under seller account you should be able to go to your current invoice on the right side and then scroll down to see the charges for each item.

I didn't received recorded conversation with ebay CS from eBay , I can't prof .
But my Invoice can .
There is no explanation for anything on eBay , after taking Seller's money !

I have heard reports of eBay making mistakes on invoices but personally I have never had an issue. The invoices are very detailed, you need to go through line by line and see where it doesn't make sense.

My Invoices from March goes high up as selling increased during this situation ,
until August where between $ 318 - $ 350 .
I did check my August Invoice , I'm charged for each Item FVF .
If there is cap on FVF , my Invoice will be $ 300 + Store Subscription + Tax .
But my Invoice is more than double higher .
I requested to speak with Supervisor OR Manager , they told me "None of them is working Today? They will Call you when they come back to work ."
Whenever you reach Help from eBay , they easily shut you down . It happens every time they took Seller's money with no explanation.
Thank you

eBay FVF cap still exists provided you are not in Managed Payments.
The FVF cap is per sale it is not per invoice.
Non-store the cap is $750 FVF per item sold (in most categories),
https://www.ebay.ca/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-private-sellers?id=4364
for a store in most categories it is $250 FVF per item sold.
https://www.ebay.ca/help/selling/selling-fees/store-fees?id=4122
If you are in Managed Payments there is still a fee cap, but it is not a flat cap. Instead, the value of the sale+shipping is capped at a maximum value, and the FVF is then calculated based on that amount.
The FVF cap only comes into play if you are selling really expensive stuff. Most ebay sellers will never see that cap apply.

you sold a lot of high value items, 1,000$ cost you 100$, a few in the 7-800$ range cost you 70-80 $ for each, there is only a cap per item sold, not on the total amount sold.. i can see you are easily where ebay billed you at..
You need to look at the total dollar amount of what you sold is, then look at the percentage you pay to them is.. i am sure it is correct.

A sale of $1058CA ($799US) does not qualify for a fee cap, it would have to be over $2500CA.
For a mid month invoice (July 16 to August 15)
A look at your store shows 28 sales worth over $7300CA (shipping not included). Shipping also has Final Value Fees. Plus sales tax on the fees (13% if in Ontario).
You had some good sales July 16 to August 15.
eBay is probably charging you the correct amount of fees for your invoice.
....
ebay has had several promos this year that capped or reduced FVF fees, that is probably what you may have had happen to some of your fees in the past. However, these were limited promotions not the regular fee rates.

your category fee with a store is 9.15% plus tax, going back to july 15, i assume you are billed mid-month.
You have sold by my rough estimate, 7,210$ times 9.15% = 659$plus tax, plus your store fees,
So you are not being ripped off, you just aren't aware of how much you have sold, or what you actually pay in fees..
I would love to say eBay is wrong, but i think you haven't done your math incorrectly here. I think you are mistaken in believing final value fees are capped monthly, they aren't, they are capped by each sale..

I'm selling on eBay for 12 years .
I don't know what are you talking about ?
I didn't pay that much for Invoice on $ 6000 Sold Items Total , my Invoice was $ 336 on that amount . It seems that cap works one month OR two , then doesn't for 5 months .
If there is no clear explanation OR Inform Seller about changes /increasing charges this is stealing .
The Seller MUST follow rules , accept scam, get humiliated , abused physically , receiving threatening messages , hurt emotionally …..
But ebay shouldn't follow rules, agreement , contracts ……..
Taking over 50% from Sellers is DISGRACE !
If you think there is an error on your invoice you need to go over it and find every line item that is not correct, once you have done that and if you find actual errors you can call eBay and discuss them.
There is no point at all in just calling and saying "my invoice is too high".
As other have pointed out, there is NO CAP on fvf's except on a per item basis and I don't see any recent sales of over $2500 items that might trigger the cap.

Hi @femmefan1946 - I can confirm that there IS a cap on Final Value Fees, on a per item basis. If you have a store subscription the exact amounts of the cap are on this page. If you do not, the caps are on this page.
RE: the $7.88 invoice, did this arrive via eBay message? I want to look into this one further. Please tag me in your reply, since .com is down a person I've been juggling both sites so will probably miss it otherwise. Thanks!
