You know how that song Careless Whisper by WHAM! reminds you of the first time you made kissey-faces across the floor of a junior high dance? How Two Out of Three Aint Bad by Meatloaf that time you got caught necking in the backseat of your brother's car? And Paradise City by Guns N Roses that time you almost robbed a liquor store?
No? Well, no matter. The forever-on-hold-soft-noodley-jazz-muzak that one is forced to listen to while waiting for eBay Customer Service makes me want to puncture my eardrums with a pencil. It's been the same three-bar song for as long as I can remember, and I think I've spent a cumulative week of my life listening to it. And every time I hear it, it reminds me of every other time I've heard it which only further compounds the trauma.
