Here is a question
The Basic Store Subscription for a Basic Store on Ebay.ca states the following
"Final value fees for Stores listings
Per item, based on the total amount of the sale Maximum fee is $250"
I have the Basic Store on ebay.ca
In the past, the maximum seller fee I've received for an item was $250
Recently I've had some over $250.
I was charged C$262.50 on a C$3877 sale
and
C$260.65 on a C$2713 sale
Then I was charged
C$325.63 on a US$2600 sale
The following note is on my ebay activity page for this line item
"US $2,600.00 (Fixed Price) Final value fee of US $237.90 converted to C $310.13 at a rate of 1.30360 (as of 15-Sep-18)."
I note the sale occurred on Oct 4 2018.
Several issue's I'm seeing here.
1. Is the $250 sales fee in C$ or US$?
2. Why is Ebay giving an exchange conversion rate for a different day, and a different amount than charged?

$250 plus 5% GST equals $262.50 (sales tax has been added since July/2017 to fees)
eBay uses the exchange rate that was in effect when the item was listed or relisted -- not when the item sells.
Pretty sure the $250 cap depends on whether the item sells on .CA or .COM
$250CA for ebay.ca and $250US for ebay.com

This is probably just a matter of semantics but I think you mean that it would be based on the listing site...not the actual site that the buyer was on when they purchased it.
