First time seller. Buyer wants to pay, but is unable to complete transaction

I'm trying to sell an item. The buyer is ready to pay for the item. I have sent them the invoice, and they say that they are unable to pay for the item because of some technical difficulty. Their words were "you have not written quote for delivery, so when I try to pay it does not work". I have no idea what that means. I'm assuming they are referring to the invoice not being sent, which I did send it.

First time seller. Buyer wants to pay, but is unable to complete transaction

I got it figured out. After doing some looking around, it appears that although I have enabled the checkout in my preferences, I forgot to enable PayPal (under "payment from buyers"), which is why they couldn't pay. I guess this will be a learning experience for next time this happens. Transaction completed successfully. Thank you.

It sounds as if there is not a shipping price on the invoice. If you didn't have one set up with your listing or if it wasn't working properly,  you might have to add it to the invoice yourself.

I'm certain that 'pj' is right and that the problem is that you didn't add a shipping amount to your invoice.  This likely means you didn't have a shipping amount specified in the listing either -- you should make sure you always do.

The invoice can be adjusted (revised) by you manually, although it may take a bit of searching to find the "Revise Invoice" link -- for some reason eBay doesn't make it obvious or easy.  If it doesn't appear in the drop-down list for your sold item, try clicking on the item itself, then on the transaction details link.

If you still can't find the "Revise Invoice" link, you may be able to access it more easily if you log onto eBay.com and go to your Sold items page.  Look for the drop-down list with the various options next to your sold item.

If worse comes to worst, you can send an invoice through Paypal, but I would try to use the "Revise Invoice" feature on eBay first.
