GTC added to listing format

Hello ,

I have 2 different formats for listing ,  means

I'll be charge 2 times per listing  and again two times for relisting when it ends !

As GTC  started  why do we have 2 listing Formats ? We MUST use GTC and we MUST pay two times for one listing  , there isn't option to use  GTC ONLY .

When EBay announced they'll ad GTC , they didn't stated that there will stay format we used when listed Item .

We are forced to  use it , why Fixed Price  & GTC  go together in the same listing ?

Did I misunderstood written Information   OR there is more like me ?

This is very dirty from EBay  ......

GTC added to listing format

Hi,

I ended  all my  listings  which coming to end in 24 hours .

I  immediate  deleted all   Unsold Items to prevent automatically  relist them and avoid unnecessary charges .

The Relisted Items with 2 Formats are not here anymore since CS  started to work on my issue.

I'm credited for charges  and EBay CS still working on it.

I posted here  to hear from other members,   is it only me OR    EBay start to adding GTC  beside Format .

Thank you everyone .

GTC listings ARE Fixed price listings, the only difference is that GTC auto-renew every 30 days.

If you don't want them to renew you can end them on day 29 (+23 hours). If/when you make a sale from a GTC listing  with a quantity of 1 then it will end whenever it sells.

FYI - GTC has been a listing option since at least the early 2000's.

Hi @pansy19 - I'm not quite sure I follow you, sorry!

To clarify: a Good Til Cancelled listing doesn't charge you two times, unless you are adding an additional category (you pay an insertion fee for the second category, but that is true of any duration).

If you'll let me know more about what you're seeing I'm happy to get more information!

GTC added to listing format

Hi,

My Listings are Fixed Price , after ended  they are relisted automatically .  I DIDN'T AD another category , EBay did  it .  I didn't have chance to list OR relist my items .

I have two Listing Formats  in  my sellings .

1. Fixed price ( as was listed at first - relisted by EBay automatically)

2.GTC added by EBay

I'm  not charge twice  on GTC , I wrote I'll be charge two times for two different formats in my listings .

One fee for Fixed price , the second fee  for GTC .

That's not right !

Thank you

Thank you ,

I don't have problem with GTC  .

My Store going to be out of Listing soon  if EBay automatically relist Fixed Price Items , plus ad GTC .  Can't imagine when Monthly Invoice comes  .

That’s not how it works.

Are you listing on two categories? Or adding Fixed Price to Auctions?

Those 2 things are the same.

GTC is a fixed price listing that is automatically renewed every 30 days.

Current choices for fixed price (Buy It Now) listings are 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 30 day or GTC.

eBay wants to make GTC the only choice. There is no double cost.

I listed  in Fixed Price   in one Category only .

GTC is shown on under  Format in second row .

There is row for Duration where is shown how long we want Item to be listed .

Instead of Duration I got Format .

Thank you

I know what  are you talking , but you don't understand  my problem.

I have 2 rows for Format

One is Fixed price , the second is GTC .

In Duration row I got Format instead  .

Hi @pansy19 - would you mind getting us a screenshot of what you're seeing? I'm confused because what you're describing isn't what I'm used to seeing for anyone. Thanks for getting us some extra detail, it will help us sort out what's happening. 🙂

Are you using the ebay app for a mobile device or listing from a computer?

For Format I see a choice of Auction-style or Fixed Price.

When I used a computer with a Firefox browser.

...

Fees for the listing should be displayed just above the List item acceptance button.

In your format box you have fixed price and in your duration box you have good till cancelled......correct?

GTC is not a format, it is a duration of 30 days that renews automatically.

Many of my listings have been set up that way  over the years and I can guarantee that they count as one free listing every 30 days NOT 2 listings as you are suggesting.

Would it help to tell you that GTC means Good Till Cancelled?

If your item does not sell after 30 days, it will automatically relist.

It is a duration.

The ONLY formats are Auction and Fixed Price.

Hello @pansy19

A little FYI for you. The Good til Cancelled change over is tentatively scheduled for some time beginning of April on dot ca. You should still have access to the shorter listing time frames along with 30 days and GTC until then. Best to confirm until then that it is not "automagically" happening to your listings as you relist/sell similar or create as new.

What I would do is clear your cache/cookies on your browser as any changes that may have happened on eBays end of things may be conflicting with what your computer has "saved" to try and make things faster. If you are unsure how to do this, tell us what browser you use and we can post directions.

Hi @pansy19 - glad to hear you were able to get it something sorted out.

I'm afraid I don't think anyone here is really clear on what exactly was happening for you though, so we can't let you know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

Do you mean that the default duration when you list something is 'GTC'? You should be able to change that by selecting the duration of your choice from the drop down, at least until April.

If you run into this again please grab us a screenshot and we'll have a closer look!
