Has anyone made a claim for a damaged item through shipinsurance?

Hi guys, I have a return request from a costumer in the USA for a damaged item received.

I have to send a return label through shippo. The original method of shipping was express post. Would it be fine to use expedited to get it back or I have to to use the same service.

The item is quite expensive over 2000.00 dollars. Will custom know this is a return and don't slap any fees or taxes on it?

Has anyone dealt with putting a claim through shipinsurance?

What should I expect. Any input is greatly appreciated.

 Thanks.

What cake are you talking about. The item is returned because it got damaged.

The claim was made for that reason.

I've filed claims with shipsurance and they were reasonable to deal with.  However, most insurance policies state that the insurance is negated if the item is returned to you. and so i f you do decide to go that route just giving you the head's up.

It sounds like you are filing an insureance claim with Shipsurance and also want the damaged item returned to you. Did I get that wrong?

So, if you were to get an insurance refund you would have your cake (the refund for the item), and you'd also be eating it too (have the damaged item back in your hands).
