It's always the first place I looked without seeing it

I am compelled to share my frustration with myself on this topic once more.

Ten times now, I simply cannot find the thing I sold and come to the brink of giving it up for lost and gone forever.... only to find it in the very first place I looked. But looked, apparently, with my eyes closed at the time.

It's so frustrating.

If there is a lesson I can share I think it would be that if you have exhausted all locations to look in your desperate search for the thing you sold that you simply cannot find to save your life, start over from the beginning and you will find it was sitting there in plain sight in the first place you looked.

It's right there, in front of you. Like line-of-sight in front of you.

Argh.

If I were a fanciful, superstitious sort, I'd think someone was playing tricks on me.

I got lucky a couple days ago...

I save my items by the ebay item number.

Went to get item..... 123456789 which wasn't there. As always blood goes to one's toes as one contemplates what to do next, and then I had the idea to search 123456798 and voila it was there.... good to know one's own common transposition problem.....I like to flip the last 2 digits....

I've done that all too often with dress patters, which I file by maker and then pattern number.

But sometimes the number in the Title is transposed.

Thank heavens for pictures.

I mistype long numbers all the time.

It is why we have Select, copy, paste.

Try saving item numbers that way.

Yup. BTDT more times than I'd like to count.
