Has anyone noticed that GTC Listings are missing their images when the item has been automatically re-newed. You can see the image on the listing until you click on the item, then the images are blank.
If you revise the listing the image comes back but if you have more then one image in your listing then it only shows the first image and the other images are missing.
This is really going to be a pain in the butt.....

Well I'm hoping that the will eventually do something that re-establishes the pictures.
It will take me more than 15 hours work to re-apply the pictures if I have to do them all by hand. (I'm lucky that I've got all the pictures I've ever taken on backups but I'd still have to go find the lots, identify which pictures are needed and re-apply them).
I've gotten two more "no pictures" on your lot messages from buyers in the last couple hours, this is beginning to become a pain in a big way.
There is no official announcement of this bug, which surprises me as the impact appears to be quite significant.

Well I had to fix a dozen or so listings this afternoon, but the evening listings that renewed were o.k with no image issues... hopefully it's fixed.
I'll keep my eyes open for any issues over the next 24hrs....

Based on the number of mine with problems, I would guess it happened over a 3 day period.
The problem ones are still problems today.
I'm remaining hopeful that there will be a "fix" applied by the technical powers that be for this... I will have far fewer problems than some of the "large" sellers out there with large stores with lots of items!!!
I am surprised there is no general announcement about the problem yet, given how large it appears to be....

I wouldn't count on eBay fixing the affected listings with no images. It will be up to sellers to fix those listings.
I believe once those images are lost there is no way for eBay to recover them. This is typical eBay, do the damage and leave it up to the seller to clean up the mess with no compensation.

Well for now I'm going to remain an optimist.
It looks like there's probably a month before any of them encounter problems when they go to autorenew. Certainly I'll know before then whether there will be an automated fix or not. There must be many many 1000s of items affected by this, and by players a lot bigger than me. 15 hours of fixing vs 15 hours of listing new things instead is a big deal to me. (I have background in systems, everything is recoverable for a site this size, the question will be whether it is "warranted" because recovering takes time and cost to do. It will depend on how large the actual problem is and whether "management" decides recovering is an appropriate use of the technical resources)
In the meantime folks can still see the original thumbnail picture via searches etc. I've had problems on other sites where all the pictures other than the main thumbnail have disappeared and folks have still bought them, but slower than normal though.
Probably tomorrow @happy_pigeon will have some news....hopefully good!

I don't understand why no one at eBay commented on this.... where is @happy_pigeon?

Thank you folks for the multiple heads-ups, and of course, I'm sorry for this terrible annoyance.
Previous posters are correct; I'm usually out of the office on weekends, though I do occasionally poke my head in (it can't be relied on, however). And once we have more of Tyler's time, which is happening soon, I believe that he will be around on Saturdays. So, that's positive.
OK, back to the less positive--let me dump this in the laps of my Product Managers and see what they have to say. Hopefully, they are already aware and working on it--I'll let you know.

Hi everyone,
I've been advised that the issue with photos not appearing on relisted GTC items is now resolved.
Thanks for your patience.
Alan | eBay Community Manager
As seen on the Power Seller Boards this a.m. Can this be confirmed? Your listings showing this is still an issue?

Hi all,
I've found out that the source of this bug was discovered over the weekend, and they've been working steadily to fix it since then. If it isn't already fully resolved, it should be soon, meaning that the next time a GTC listing is auto-renewed, your photos will stay put
I'm waiting to find out if there is an easier way for those of you who have already lost photos.

I am very surprised this has not yet been mentioned in the selling announcements messages on either site, given until a fix is put in place to restore the pictures, presumably all sellers with GTC listings are affected. Probably a lot do not know yet.

It is because I do not want to put something up without a specific fix to offer for folks currently missing photos... The issue itself going forward has been resolved, thankfully.

I certainly understand that, but if they, like me are getting messages from buyers about items missing pictures, they have to go looking for why.... and they may not think or usually visit the discussion boards.... to my mind the problem isn't fixed yet, it isn't growing bigger anymore but until the pictures are restored, it is still broken. (ie the fix has two parts the cause and the effect. The cause is fixed but the effect is not)

I would agree that a notice would make sense for now as sellers can proactively fix the issue if they choose to. I only noticed the issue after a sale was made and then read here others had the same issue. I otherwise would have had no idea since index/thumbnail images were not effected so one would have to click through to every listing to address the issue.

Hope this gets fixed quickly... so far 260 listings affected!

I don't believe "the effect" is going to be fixed by eBay... what I did was use one of those websites that sells my items for eBay (since most of the missing images have been deleted from my computer).
If your items are advertised on Collectors.com or one of the others sites then copy the existing images into your pictures on your computer and add them to the eBay listings.
The site has to have it's own listing page for you to copy the images and not take you directly to the eBay site where the images are missing.

I had some of those images on my computer but it was much quicker to copy them from a related website then to search through thousands for images to find the exact ones.
It also helped me remember which listings had what for content in terms of images.
Hours of work can turn into minutes of work.....

So today I got an email asking me to show an interested person, some photos.
My first reaction was to look at the listing (because there are 12 there!).
GO FIGURE - as of 5:46pm PST on June 25, 2018, there are NO PHOTOGRAPHS!
My listing is 282977316213
EBAY, kindly put my pictures back AND reinburse me for the listing fees.
If you won't put them back, then reinburse me for the time it will take me to put them back myself.
To add insult to injury, I've been on hold with ebay for ages (their web site said 1 min - another ebay LIE).
As others have already stated, to make matters worse, from the seller Hub (my ebay list), everything looks fine. Its only when you look at the individual listing, that you find there are no photos.
