Has anyone noticed that GTC Listings are missing their images when the item has been automatically re-newed. You can see the image on the listing until you click on the item, then the images are blank.
If you revise the listing the image comes back but if you have more then one image in your listing then it only shows the first image and the other images are missing.
This is really going to be a pain in the butt.....

I ordered my GTC listings with most time left to try to isolate those that relisted over the last few days
I quickly found 12 listings without pictures - reasonably randomly. ie, one without, followed by one with, followed by another without (there are likely many more, but I stopped looking for now)
I did manage to get ebay on the phone. Useless person, who had no idea of this problem, an assured me the good news was that I had not violated any ebay site requirements!
Said I'd get a call back from her if there was a site issue! This was not an asian call centre, it was someone who talked with her supervisor, and apparently neither had any idea.
Yet one more reason why ebay is no longer a good place to sell items.

PS, a good solution in terms of getting Ebay to actually replace the photos they have taken from your listings, or to reinburse you for having to repair the damage yourself, is to complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
I find that route gets results, while telling ebay, gets nothing.

Just got off the phone with an "elite" c/s rep. There is a bulk edit "fix" for the listings missing the photo but, apparently I was the first one listing on .ca that this rep has heard from since this cluster reared its ugly head and we both discovered that the fix will not work for those of us who list on .ca. I tried it on my end. No go. He tried it on his end. No go. And the beat goes on and on and on.....

I was out of the office till now, I'm surprised we haven't heard something from @happy_pigeon about where things are at yet?
I also checked the announcements on both sites and nothing mentioned there yet either?

There is no fix... except for the seller to restore the missing images one listing at a time.

That is correct, so far. I was advised to hang in a few days before I spend the 7 -8 hours (estimated) finding the 107 items in my inventory, shooting, revising the listings affected. The rep, without committing himself, led me to believe that, without a forthcoming fix, there "should" be some form of compensation from San Jose but frankly, I have no idea how they would do that. who was to get what and, from experience, not holding my breath. But, maybe.

I found exactly this today, only 1 of 12 photos is shown.

Hmmm I ran the scan again tonight, and my missing picture count went down from 280 to 6 which left me temporarily overjoyed!
However when I went to look at one of the 274 "fixed" items, it only has the gallery image, the remainder of the images are missing.
So there is progress, something has been done to move us one step forward, I look forward to the other non gallery pictures reappearing soon too!
(interestingly, the ones that remain broken are the two that I was watching to see if it was fixed and 4 others. I am wondering if they were only able to fix to the point they have the ones that had not been viewed since they were broken?)

Yesterdays scan showed 321 pictures missing. Today's scan shows zero pictures missing but, when I do the first steps of bulk revise, it is showing 107 missing. The 107 is accurate, the scan, for whatever reason, was not accurate this go round.

When I looked at a couple to see what was up:
The 6 remaining broken ones do not show anything inside the listing where there should be pictures.
The 274 partially fixed are showing the gallery image in the correct sizing, ie I can expand the picture like I could before, so something positive has happened.
Now I'm putting my optimist hat back on that the others will be there tomorrow!

Yes, focus on the compensation end of things.... eBay needs to credit sellers for their mess up.... I had 40-50 images that needed to be fixed and revised them all by the time eBay fixed the problem on Saturday evening.

Hi everyone, last I have heard (yesterday afternoon) is that the US team is trying to figure out how we can help folks that have lost their images. I'll let you know more when I know more.

One more reason not to list on ebay.ca, and list on ebay.com instead.
When things go wrong, ebay.com has a team to fix it (while ebay.ca does nothing)

Don't think it matters. US runs tech side for both. Knowing ebay a lot of that is probably outsourced anyways.

I have 914 items listed and all needed checking for photos.
I chose pages of 50 lot, and went to the bulk edit page.
Scrolling down the 50 showed which listings have only 1 photo.
I wrote them down, left the bulk page, and individually reloaded the pix from my computer memory.
Very tedious, anger inducing, and time consuming.
About 10-15% of my listings were affected, so around 100, and after 8 hours they are restored.
Everyone selling should check and restore, as eBay seems fogged out on the issue.
Plus of course, the views are not right and only repeated F5s will get rid of the -, and replace it with a 0.
I have spoken to eBay on a return pair of phone calls, and they think July 18th it might be self correcting.
Or the perhaps then the guy gets back from holidays.
Right....

If July 18th is the expected date for fixing this problem, appears their intention is for sellers to fix them themselves. As for compensation that's another "more than likely" some kind of creative listing offer but not cash for time and trouble.

Has there been an official announcement made? The missing photos gone for good? Too bad, so sad for the seller that has to spend dozens/hundreds of hours in replacing the dozens/hundreds/perhaps thousands of photos "lost" by eBay? Still a chance that the photos will be recovered in the next SHORT while? Will San Jose stand tall, admit responsibility and (somehow) reciprocate sellers for their time? Or......?

I've not seen any official announcements.
I checked my test items (out of the 280 with issues):
-there were 6 not fixed at all, they remain not fixed at all
-the other 274 are partly fixed, the gallery picture is ok, rest are missing.
I'm presuming we'll have to hold our breath till the 18th to see if something magic happens that day....
