Just got Activated for MP - Question

Hello everyone,

I just got activated for Managed Payments overnight, and I have a question regarding payouts and paying fees.

With MP, will I have to pay my fees at the end of the month or on a specific date like it was with PayPal payments? I used to have auto-payments on, where my PayPal account would automatically be charged my fees for the given selling period. With MP, will all of the fees automatically be deducted, meaning I only get my sales minus the fees in my payouts to my bank account? The reason I ask is because I see in my "Payments" tab an outstanding balance from before MP and it is asking me to make a one time payment. If I do, will that be the last time I have to use PayPal to pay for something related to selling on eBay? This is a bit confusing because in the "Payout settings" tab, PayPal is selected as my automatic payment method. I don't want my PayPal to be charged if I will have no money in it.

If anyone has an answer, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Just got Activated for MP - Question

FVF for a sale is an immediate deduction from your sale money.

Store fees and listing fees are still invoiced monthly.

You get to pick where the payment money comes from.

You may want to pose that question to the MP team as Canadian sellers just now entering the MP system have not been given a broad scope of adequate information and for any questions/clarification and/or any additional info that is only available by requesting a callback from the MP team

Also would be most interesting to know is how transactions that were done originally in PayPal how any claim would/should be processed going forward.

Thanks for your reply. This sounds like a silly question, but are the MP callback reps competent? Often, CS reps don't even remotely understand basic questions, but I assume this is a special team? Thanks.

" I don't want my PayPal to be charged if I will have no money in it."

If you truly do not want any sort of ebay auto payment taken from your Paypal account then disable that on your ebay account summary page, it's found right at the bottom.

What options does MP provide for paying the monthly invoice? Bank account, credit card, Paypal, is it possible to deduct from MP balance? If so how long can a negative balance be maintained ?

I think I would probably choose the same payment method for both the monthly invoice and purchasing shipping labels, for me that would be the same bank account sales funds are deposited to.

Store & listing fees are still billed monthly. FVF and PL charges are deducted immediately at time of sale.

For anyone enrolled in MP on the Canada side  has anyone seen a variation of this page from dot com regarding processing cancellations/refunds and a 7 to 10 day hold on funds? A good guess would be it would look very similar.

Just got Activated for MP - Question

Since I have no plans to join MP, have no experience with eBay's MP support staff ... I am just passing along info that I have gleaned from the community boards that has been provided by eBay's community support staff that have posted here in the forums...

and a callback is what is being recommended ...

It is all the secrecy, lack of transparency and lack of information for sellers entering MP, that is making this transition to MP such a difficult time ....a total fiasco, a huge mess!

Just got Activated for MP - Question

I'm going to choose my bank account that my payouts are going to for paying the monthly expenses.

I checked and there are three options for paying monthly fees...

1. PayPal

2. Checking account

3. Credit or debit card

If only they could be even a little bit transparent, this would be so much easier. One day in, and I have dozens of questions that seem like they would have been obvious for eBay to predict.

Yes, I have. Thanks for linking it again, as now that I am registered, I don't see any of those links anymore. Once I was switched to MP, they disappeared. I will give it another look through.
