 Number 5 of 200 is likely to have more value than number 1203 of 15,000.

Is the print an engraving?

Engravings wear quickly as the number of impressions increases. A low impression number with a low print run number is more attractive than a high impression number.

Is the print a photolithograph?
It is as easy to print 15000 photolithographs with clean impressions as it is to print 1500.

There is no real difference in quality between impression # 5 and impression # 15000.

Is the print signed by the artist?

Is the signature an autograph or a holograph?

I forgot about giclee prints. Too new for my limited knowledge. But like photolithographs, I believe the number of prints could be basically unlimited.
