Hi - Apparently this is the case. I just listed a one day auction and it counted as one of my 50 free listings for the month. Don't know how I missed that, but at least I only used a single listing.

Obviously the people who think up the promotions never sell on Ebay themselves. If they did, they would not omit 1 day auctions esp at this time of the year when people want goods sooner rather than later. Auctions are a tough sell as it is, but 1 day auctions brings in good revenue. It keeps the listings fresh and well positioned in search to sell. I have always had great results with them.

I loved the one day duration as I would relist every item daily. However, since it is not available this time, we will have to make do with what is offered.
"begin on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 00:00:01 (12:00AM plus one second), and will end on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 23:59:59"
Basically, if a seller lists on Saturday the 9th with three day duration
relist unsold items on November 12th with three day duration
relist unsold items on November 15th with up to ten day duration
or on Sunday the 10th with three day duration
relist unsold items on November 13th with three day duration
relist unsold items on November 16th with up to ten day duration
it allows three opportunities to sell the same item - all with no listing fees.
A seller with substantial inventory may split the inventory to list half on Saturday and the rest on Sunday for maximum coverage.

Can the exact same item be listed multiple times in this freebee?

The same item may be listed once, relisted and relisted and relisted.
If two identical items are listed at auction at the same time, only one will show up in search results until a bid has been received.

Again this promotion is targeting sellers that pays the maximum FVF.
I've been passed over for the fourth time in a row and again commercial sellers like me will be subsidizing the wannabes.
Very strange that they send the promotion to sellers that never use there full allocation of 50 per month, what a waste of resources.
ebay certainly don't like to show any appreciation to long time very active sellers.
Sad, really.

???
What are you talking about.
Stamp dealers with an eBay store only pay 4.8% FVF (if TRS) yet they get the invitation.

I was passed over also, no big deal.
List in the Auction Format to drive traffic to your store.
You will find you will still be ahead.
