Used this promo for 5 items on dot ca. Sold 2 of them. Got charged the promo price of $1.05 CAN including GST for each however also got charged another $1.05 each for shipping final value fee. One item had $1.99 shipping to Canada and the other had $11.75 shipping to Canada. Both items shipped to Canada.

So ebay is double dipping with this promo. So in the end ebay has billed us for $4.20 for 2 items in the $1 per item selling promo. Who is doing their math?

Please have a look at the below passage from the Terms & Conditions for this promotion:

"Please note that the discount may not be shown during the listing process. Instead, the discount will be reflected in the "Seller Account" section in My eBay, under the Account tab, as well as in your next invoice."

Any inaccuracies in the Seller Account section in My eBay under the Account tab or in your invoice should be reported to Customer Service.

The poster wasn't referring to the listing part of the process since they don't see fvf charges until after the item has sold.  Does the promo info specify somewhere in that info that ebay will charge $1 fvf for the item and another $1 for shipping fvf?  If not, then ebay has goofed.

The seller account/all account activity tab  is where it shows the double charges. There is no mistake here on our part. We are not "mistaken".

Is anyone aware of situations in the past, where there have been billing errors that affected a large number of sellers, were the errors  corrected by eBay automatically or was it entirely up to the seller to check their invoice for discrepancies and to phone in to have those issues corrected?

It says above 'excluding taxes and shipping'. What am I misunderstanding with your issue with this? Are you saying you think you should not also have to pay $1 plus GST for your Final Value Fee on Shipping for those items?

$1.05 shipping final value fee on $1.99 shipping? Thats not right.

The last time we posted a full item number here in the forums our post got deleted and we got a threatening email from ebay.

It might be a different item than the one that shipped for $1.99. What does eBay Customer Service day about this?

(Also, we’re allowed to post item numbers. What we’re not allowed to do is cast aspersions at other people’s listings. If it’s a listing of your own that you’re having a problem with and you post the number of the item to facilitate receiving advice, that’s allowed. Of course, I can’t speak for the circumstances of your warning or the details led to it.)
