Migration tool not working properly when converting from USD to CAD

I am now doing the migration from USD to CAD  and the window that comes with the actual conversion and has a couple of  small windows  the one on the left is he conversion factor and on the right with a number of 0.99  **Round up to nearest**.

This small window on the right  with 0.99 is not allowing me to convert properly .. I am converting listing now to drafts in CAD and it has screwed up the prices.

So first how to get it not to interfere with the conversions and now I have drafts in CAD that are not correct . So how do I correct everything.. and hopefully start over properly.by deleting it...

Changes are always a mess on eBay. This is supposed to be a properly functioning company and has become very disappointing with tools that are not working..

Thanks for your input.  very frustrating.. Is there anyone in the company that can answer these issues?

" Is there anyone in the company that can answer these issues?"

Every Wednesday afternoon, a thread is open by eBay staff for questions and inquiries.

Here is a link to last week thread:

http://community.ebay.ca/t5/Weekly-Chat-Session/May-25th-2016-Weekly-Session/m-p/338855#U338855

You may find your answer there.  If not, ask tomorrow when a new thread is open.

An alternative is to write directly to Raphael@eBay.com.  However, that may take some time before your email message is addressed.  There is only a handful of staffers at eBay-Canada.

If your listings are on eBay.ca in US$ you have a few options:

If the listings are Good Till Cancelled (GTC) you have until early August before eBay.ca ends your listings

If your fixed price listings are 30 days or less, then two options:

1) use the tool to either move to eBay.com or convert into Cdn$

2) end all listings and relist individually either on eBay.com or in Cdn$ on eBay.,ca

Keep in mind that if you decide to list on eBay.com, your shipping options will have to change since Canada Post is not available on eBay.com. Also, the Canada Post shipping calculator is not available on eBay.com; only fixed shipping charge can be used.

Thanks again for the info.. I spoke to Raphael to no avail yet. Just updates are coming again. (I hope to correct this all)..This is the major issue below:

The issue about the migration tool messing up some of my listing it that when the drafts were listed (I did a few to check) the sales prices were totally off  a nd a $1.00 USD card became a 1.99 CAD card.  That is with the $0.99 NOT ticked off  on the right side from the small window that appears when you click to convert to draft ALSO shipping was the same prices as the card price and combined shipping was at that too  $1.99 ??..  I just did it again and the same issue.. What is going on will the conversion

Regards,

Migration tool not working properly when converting from USD to CAD

I was a seller that made a decision not to use eBay's Migration tool..

My store was put on vacation for 35 days before everything was started.

The cost of a listed item  and shipping cost were revised using eBay's Bulk Edit option.

It was my decision to revise each listing individually , and not in bulk.

The only way to change a listing  from US dollars to Canadian dollars and have the listing on eBay Canada... is to end the listing...make the change  from US to Canadian dollars  ... and then relist the listing.... No Bulk edit possible.

The process is 30 days... at 120 to 125 listings per day....

I am in control  100 % ... and currently 16 days into the process of revising US dollars to Canadian dollars.

This process is done when a 30 day listing cycle ends  and the listing will get relisted.

No problems at all...

A bulk Edit option to change US dollars to Canadian dollars  would have been a good option for us to have.

However,  the process is one listing at a time... with no Bulk Edit option for this conversion

Me too, I cannot trust eBay when the feature(s) or tool(s) comes up.  Prefer to do bulk but no eBay doesn't think to do that in bulk item which is much easier.  I have done conversion from USA to Canada for over 4,000 by individually.  It is a lot of work but at the same time I was able to revise some information or change things.

Thank for you input.. Your brave to do that.  But I am NOT going to do 8000 items.. eBay is on the fix with this tool and I will wait.. I do not think they will **unsold** your items that are ready for conversion unless the tool is work properly they will keep extending the due date..

Thanks,

Milke

Working each listing also allowed me to make adjustments in price.... if required

It also is giving me an opportunity to see what I actually have listed...

and ...ultimately I will have many new listings.....  Also a time to look at what is next

This conversion is vacation time... No parcel preparation... It was time for a bit of a vacation.

However,  A cold-flu bug  caught up with me

According to the live webinar ebay had on the Migration Tool, ebay staff should be assisting you directly in migrating your listings. Any seller with over 5000 items listed will be assisted by eBay's staff....

Migration tool not working properly when converting from USD to CAD

It is June 7th and the tool is still not working,  I have 12,000 listings on .ca in USD currency.  I used the tool to convert 5 items, changing the conversion rate to 1.0000.  I know I will be getting less profit but that is okay.  It's like putting on a big sale.

Problem #1 The tool did not change the items to CAD.  It appeared in the draft listings in selling manager as CAD, however when you click on "complete drafts" to actually list the items, it is still in USD.

Problem #2  I did not check the box for price ending in .99.  I wanted the prices of the item and shipping to be untouched.  It changed it to .99 anyway.  I don't have too much of a concern for the item price changing but I do for shipping as I charge 3.00 for most shipping and this will change it to 3.99, which will make me not competitive on shipping.  There should be two check boxes - one for price and another for shipping.  There should be a selection for no change as well. Actually, if I don't check the box, it shouldn't change the ending of cents.

Problem #3  I control my listings/relists by ending date and by custom label.  I put a batch name in the custom label field.  When that batch ends, I decide if I want to relist it now or later.  This new tool should allow me to control which listings I want to convert and when.  In order to do this, the tool should display a column for custom label and ending date/ended date.

Problem #4  Since ebay doesn't automatically end the active listings that we relist using the tool, how will we know which ones to end in active listings.  I am not just working with a few listings.  I have 12,000 over 4 accounts.  In a short while after converting, I suspect that I will get an email from ebay telling me that they have identified duplicates and they have ended the duplicates that I have listed in CAD.  As the migration tool will show that they have already been processed, I will not be able to migrate them again.

Problem #5  In listing to the webinar on the migration tool, I found out that the tool won't work if their is more than 5000 items and so the presenter said to call ebay for assistance.  I called today and after talking to 3 agents who knew nothing about the tool, was told that these problems would be fixed shortly.

I could go on and on but I'd be only venting my frustration.

If anyone at ebay is checking this message board and can offer some helpful ideas, I would appreciate hearing about them.

ebay doesn't read these member to member posts.

It might be a good idea to cut/paste and post your issues at the Wed. chat with ebay tomorrow.  Raphael does

work for ebay.
