I have a 0 feedback buyer who has a address for Oahawa, ON. (should be Oshawa). It is also "confirmed" Oahawa in Paypal as well. Should I correct this or just leave it as is? I assume Canada Post will have no issue but still... can this bite me somehow?

It will be tracked. I will probably just leave it as is, the post office is pretty good as knowing whats what. One time I put the entire wrong state down. Arkansas instead of Alaska, both had the same town name, and it still got there properly. (Zip code was right luckily)
I reached out to the buyer to establish an email trail but never got a response.

To be on the safe side before mailing you could email the customer and let them know about the spelling issue on their account and they should be able to confirm and update the system. Always best to be proactive. And usually they will thank you for advising them. That's been my past experience with situations like that.

Canada Post will have no problem with it as long as the postal code is correct. Under Canada's postal code system you could leave the city and province/territory off the address and it would still arrive -- something you can't do with USA zip codes.
...
I correct simple Canadian typos ("a" is next to "s" on the QWERTY keyboard) -- but that's just me.

Small changes to addresses to correct things like incorrect ZIP codes or misspellings are generally not an issue and they are to be expected. Most online retailers/shippers in the US use address verification checks against the USPS dial-a-zip database and that is a staple of most online shipping platforms. Canada Post now offers something similar to the public/non-contract customers as others have posted here and in other threads.
It is generally considered best practice to use these since zip/postal codes do get updated from time to time for a given street address and paypal will be aware of this. They are quite handy to use as they will often alert you to when the address is an apartment/condo and you can follow up if the buyer has not left their unit number. If in doubt and you are really concerned about paypal message the buyer to confirm the address. Haven't had a single issue arise from this and it has saved a lot of grief and return to send scenarios.
