Went shopping with a friend yesterday to the outlet mall. Should have known better, now I have another pkg to mail out west that needs to be there for Christmas. Will go expedited, Ontario to Alberta. Should I mail now or wait a week or so for things to settle down at Canada Post? I keep reading about workers being upset due to being forced back to work.
And is there any point in mailing my Christmas cards this year? Guess I should have bought New Year cards instead.

get it in the mail as soon as possible. i don't quite believe the first in first out rule.. so the quicker you post it the sooner it will get there..

It may depend on where you are.
It was reported on TV that in Vancouver, CUPW was back at work, but there was a picket line of members of other unions which was not allowing trucks out of the plant. Going in was not a problem.
Vancouver was rainy and warmish (8 C).
I think progress will be slower than CUPW claimed (one day to clear backlog) and faster than management is claiming (sometime in January or possibly March).
On a brighter note, Orthodox Christians celebrate on January 6, since they use the Julian calendar. So your gift may not be late after all!
