Sales have been horrid as of late - 2 in the last 2 months. One of those now has opened a case for item not delivered. I monitor my tracked items and try to keep it in mind where they are and when they get delivered, and this is easy to do with only 2 of them in the last two months. The claim, I had noticed the package had not had any activity although I had dropped it off at the postal outlet a week before. I asked the buyer if it had come, as someone not into conversation, simply said 'no'. I went to the PO and they found my parcel sitting in the 'to be picked up' area and it had not been entered into the system. I told the buyer and as I was getting a refund from CP for the postage that was guaranteed, I offered it to the buyer for his inconvenience. No response - until yesterday, in the form of a claim.
What is wrong with people? I went out of my way to make sure this person was happy. He has a FB of over 400 and it is perfect.. Doesn't someone with that experience ought to know better? I am on the verge of just quitting this headache all together. Ebay still collects their money despite any problems on our end and when they are asked to help, they do little to nothing. The only tangible action I ever see from a Ebay employee is the little snoops who troll our message boards in order to protect us from inappropriate language. Their speed is blinding.

It sounds as if you did everything right. I can't think of anything else you could have done. Sometimes circumstances (and rude people) just conspire to create a truly bad experience. Don't let one bad apple depress you -- sooner or later we all run into them.
By the way, how long was it between the time you dropped off the parcel initially and the time the P.O. discovered it still sitting? I'm wondering why the buyer was so impatient. Was it going to the US or Canada?

It was about 8 days before I got them to find it. It was explained to the buyer, but he didn't respond. I know I am going to get a neg for this one, I just feel it.

Well if you ask me you sales are rockin...
you have 5 listings..
1 sale a month is 1/5 of your listings or 20% which is above the average ...
On a serious note 2 BIG Things
It is Christmas time not niche collector time .. This is the time of year where people are not buying for themselves many collector niche seller experience slow sales this time of year..
Put star wars in your title ..
If I was searching for star wars collector items I would never type Bob fetta in ...

I would add that you have 80 characters available for your title. You should use all of them if you can with more details...any relevant words that a potential buyer might use to search for your product.

Thank you for the comments from the last two posters, I didn't realise that and I will change that.

Also COSPLAY and maybe even comicon- though the latter is problematical.
You might consider using your 50 Free Auctions instead of Fixed Price. Although the longest auction listings are 10 days, that still allows lots of time for relists. And you can get another 50 free on dotCOM
And of course, the demographic. Not only are you dealing with young men, to a large extent, but they are also fen. I help with a fan-run Con here in Ottawa, and love the genre, love the camaraderie, but we do have a large supply of people who are .... not neurotypical, as they say. Their social graces are a little less graceful than one might hope.
OOQH! Even if your helmets are one size fits all-- have you considered specifically advertising to women cosplayers? This is a huge demographic.
And if you can come up with girl friendly body armour.....

This for all you slavering mundanes is what a cosplay girl can look like. (This is not my Con, although I usually attend.)

"...very deep pool of water....'
????
Water? That would not work very well with stamps!

Or vintage science fiction paperbacks-- which I sell under this name. The stamps are a joint venture with my (mundane) husband.
I love going to cosplay events. Most of the attendees are in their teens and twenties and are totally confused by the old lady cosplaying Nanny Ogg. (I bought my Greebo on eBay!)

OK, now you have to tell us what a "greebo" is. As you know, I do cosplaying of a different sort, so I'm not up on the sci-fi, hip stuff.
