Hello Everyone. I am looking to start tracking my inventory and sales vs profit more closely. I was wondering if there are any programs out there that any of you would recommend.
Thanks in advance

Personally I have prepared my own spreadsheets using MS-Excel for as long as I can remember (they used to be in Lotus 1-2-3 before converting to MS-Excel about twenty years ago).
However, not everyone has the time and inclination to prepare and set up their own accounting system.
In Canada, "Simply Accounting" will do everything you need to do for small business. It is available at all office supplies stores at a relatively low cost (about $200 for current version).

You have some good advice already.
I'll add a couple of items to consider.
The first is very similar to Simply Accounting, in that it is an all encompassing program for Canadian small businesses.
Quick Books - http://www.intuit.ca/intuit-products/index.jsp
I have used both Simply and Quick Books and they are similar, but do have a few differences. I prefer Simply, accept it keeps an iron clad record of all entries, so if you need to correct mistakes often, it tends to look very messy. If you think like an accountant, this shouldn't be a problem. I don't, so I'm using Quick Books.
Both are relatively weak in inventory control, which is a major feature for me, so I use Quick Books in conjunction with InFlow.
InFlow does a superb job of inventory control. I use it daily and once every month or so I download the data into Quick Books for the accounting aspect only.
You can download a fully operational copy of InFlow (restricted to 100 items) to try it. They also have wonderful tutorials on-line. The software will function for ever, and they do not hound you about making any purchase. So, if 100 items is all you are going to need, it's better than freeware.
