http://pages.ebay.com/sell/nosellfees/
I just learned of this yesterday. U.S. sellers have been eligible for this offer since August 15th (end date October 31st).
I buy quite a few items on eBay and I would take advantage of this program if it was offered in Canada. I wonder if it ever will be.

Guess it would be okay if you bought a lot.
But what if you have a different acct for buying.

Guess it would be okay if you bought a lot.
From reading the info, you have this option on each listing, so you could only choose as many as would seem likely you would spend.
But what if you have a different acct for buying.
That's certainly an issue for a lot of people.
I buy on both of my selling accounts and there's nothing I wouldn't want a buyer to see. But, of course, if I were to re-sell anything, it would be on the alternate account.

I would definitely do that.
I loved eBay bucks too.
I have to keep reminding myself that the reason I'm here is because it opens the US market to me in a way that nothing else does.
Still........ it would be nice to get all the perks too.

Well, this is one of the few truly bright ideas eBay has rolled out. Whoever thought this up was using his/her noggin.
I noticed the following important points in reading the terms: (a) it's by invitation only; (b) in the case of a voluntary refund to a buyer, the seller has to use his/her own money for the refund, via Paypal; (c) there is a $5,000/month limit; and (e) the vouchers are not transferable for cash (but on the other hand, they don't expire).
One caveat I think is that you would need to fairly carefully gauge your anticipated purchases against your listings, so as not to accumulate more vouchers than you can realistically use. Otherwise, it's a great idea if you buy and sell on eBay.
Of course, the seller taking advantage of this promotion is basically shifting the FVFs to other sellers, so it's a win-win for eBay: the seller opting in gets an eventual break on his/her own FVFs, the end seller makes a sale and eBay gets its FVFs; nobody loses.
This would be a truly cost-saving promotion for me, as I buy many of my "raw" materials through eBay sellers.
I assume this is completely new -- I don't recall ever seeing anything on this before. I wonder what it actually takes to get "invited" as a US seller? Would Canadian-registered sellers listing on eBay.com get invited?
Has any Canadian seller actually been invited? And why not offer it to Canadian sellers too - eBay would only gain by more sales on eBay.

Hi rose-dee.
Under the Terms and Conditions portion of the FAQ, it states:
"You must have an eBay account and PayPal account registered in the U.S. to redeem the eBay Voucher ("Voucher"). For security purposes, a credit card or bank account may be required."
Unfortunately.

Thanks 'jt' -- that clarifies it; not for us up here in the GWN yet. Guess what my question to the 'Pinks' is going to be tomorrow?
