URGENT> Major issue? Or just me? Shipping tab is MISSING from ebay items.

Hello. Earlier today, I looked at several items (mine and others) on ebay.ca and NONE of the items were showing the shipping tab. I just checked again, and the shipping tab is STILL not showing on searched items. What is going on? Can't buy without knowing what the shipping cost is going to be for an item. And the same is happening on ebay.com

And before anyone says that this doesn't matter because you can see the shipping for your own region at the top of the page, it really does matter as a seller. I have had several listings on and off this year that have had the shipping options shuffled at the whim of ebay and only discovered the problem while looking at my listing's drop down shipping option on a live listing. This has been a sporadic ongoing issue for months.

The shipping tab is still there.

They moved it to a new spot. If you click "See Details" beside the shipping rate, there is now a pop up that has all the consolidated information.

eBay really needs to put out a message telling people when they make changes like that.  Thanks for letting us know where to find it!

I was just looking at some listings with an id I hadn't used for a few months, when I got to a listings page there was a pop informing me of the new layout and location of the what was on the old tab.

Hi. I found the new location myself, as well. Unfortunately, it REALLY highlights the Customs duties etc. info for International orders, which DOES NOT APPLY to US customers in 99.999% of cases (does ebay not understand what free trade agreement means?). And many US customers  won't likely know that, so our largest customer base will be scared off of purchasing from Canada.

@reallynicestamps

Guessing your query regarding moving/forced to open to see didn't warrant a response by eBay to the monthly discussion?

@flipistics

As for seeing a pop up advising buyers or sellers what is going on under the hood are few and far between. Can't personally recall the last time I saw a notice like that...if ever!!!

The CUSMA does not have anything to do with those customs labels.

Free Trade is a macro-policy and has little to do with our day to day imports as consumers or as exporters.

US residents have a duty free allowance of $800USD. Most eBay purchases are below that level and no duty will be needed.

Canadian residents can import up to $150 Cdn from the USA (and probably Mexico) duty free, and up to $40 Cdn tax-free.

But.

There are products that cannot be imported at all (ivory) or require special handling (perfume) or special licensing (fireworks).

Canada also has "free trade" agreements with 117 other countries, including the EU, Mali, and Chile.

But our duty-free allowance for those is generally the much despised $20Cdn, that led to that archived 5000+ thread about UPS before eBay brought in the GSP.
