Vision of the future: storefront changes

I was looking at my listings yesterday as they appear from various ebay sites and noticed a new display from ebay.com.au. The stores appearance is subtly different. See below. I like it.

I might miss the Featured Listings presently available, I wonder the reason they decided to axe those.

Haven't gone around the world to see which ebays show the old versus new.

Also like the .au version better.
Seems sensible to display several lines of the store description or other important info rather than just the one like on .ca.

Regarding featured items, I've always felt they were a distraction because they pushed categories and listings down lower on the page. Maybe they'd work better placed directly below the description?
Doing away with the separate store search was a good idea too.

Your store looks great everywhere, pretty hard to miss the message you're selling toys.

Oddly, when I check today, it shows ebay Australia as back to the old style storefront. Who knows? https://www.ecommercebytes.com/C/blog/blog.pl?/pl/2018/5/1525380344.html It seems like it might have been more of a glitch and less of a deliberate move!
