how is it that a nobody with no selling can leave bad feedback for shipping expenses, the item was won for a dollar not much to complain about right well yess the 3.99 i charged for shipping got me neg feedbck, ebay took .40 cents the bubble envelope was .89 cents actuall canada post was 2.65 **bleep** is going on here that person cost me big time in my rating, why are these people that dont understand what the shipping costs actually are and ebay should not allow a non sellar to leve feed bck on shipping charges when that person has no idea of what the charges are actually for,and ebay should stop ripping sellers of on final value fees on shipping they are the problem and should not be so greedy as to screw the seller, the bad feed bck should go to ebay, getting a little disheartened by there scam

it looks like the buyer actually left POSITIVE feedback, even though he complained about shipping
i understand where you are coming from, but unfortunately there's nothing we can do

As a seller I agree the system is terribly flawed. You can do everything right and still take a hit. All it takes is one bad apple and we all know those exist. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do. I've learned not to sweat it out over feedback, you can't please everyone. At the end of the day you still got paid by the buyer and really that's all that matters.

The more you sell the more you realize .. It is not the system it is people .. There are 2 types of people in the world half glass full and half glass empty..
I am half glass full I have never left less then 5 star or a neg no matter what .. As long as I receive Item as described I could care less about shipping estimate times or prices ..
Then you get the half glass empty people .. They care about everything from ship time, ship price, product price. grammar .. etc.
It's like I tell my wife the new generation and some of the old have lost touch with what problems really are .. War,Straving childrenand families ...
If I receive a broken item I don't care I send it back get a refund and leave some 5 star feedback ... At the end of the day is it a problem ... NOOOOOOOOO it's not it's part of being to lazy and cheap to go the store and buy what I want without any chance of it being damage ...
Some people care about way too much little stuff but I could careless I wake up everyday with a smile on my face a Roof over my head and I know I am nobody to judge everybody ..
There are people like you encountered all over this world and the best way to deal with them is to feel sorry for them thinking that people really get stressed or worried about such small stuff I figure being them is punishment enough..

There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: this glass is half full. And then there are those who say: this glass is half empty.
The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass! Who's been pinching my beer?

Seriously, though.
People hate paying for shipping. It's insubstantial and they can't emotionally feel the benefit.
Also the lower the price of the item, the more likely your customer is to dislike it. Bottom feeders are not nice people.
My suggestion is that you raise the asking price of your items to $4 or $5 and offer Free Shipping.
Which is cheapest?
$1 with $3 shipping?
$3 with $1 shipping?
$4 with Free Shipping?
You may lose the odd sale, but note "bottom feeders" above.
I'm of the opinion that it is not worth selling anything for less than $9.99 plus shipping. There may be exceptions (scrapbookers who usually sell multiple items to each customer, for example) .

A negative comment quickly disappears onto the next page, a negative feedback is there for a year!
