When I read the following announcement last night, I couldn't help but think how concerned eBay was about the effect this would have on U.S. sellers. Wouldn't it be nice if they were as concerned about Canada Post rates?
Sellers: Here’s what we’re doing about the USPS rate increases proposed for January
Sellers: As we’re sure you’re aware, the U.S. Postal Service recently announced a proposal to increase the postage rate for select mail classes and services, which, if approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission, would take effect starting January 17, 2016. Currently, the Commission is set to rule on these proposed increases by November 16, 2015.
We fully understand the impact changes like these can have on your business. Rest assured that we will continue to work directly with the USPS—and all our shipping providers—to keep shipping rates low. In the past, we’ve been able to leverage the shipping volume eBay sellers generate to secure great discounted rates.
In the months ahead, we’ll be providing you with updates on these proposed increases and rates we’ve negotiated, as well as ideas on how to minimize the impact on your business.
With Black Friday just a month away, be sure to take another look at all the ways eBay labels can save you money—and time—this holiday season, including:

Canada does not rate. We need to be totally separate from .com, just like all other countries are.

I agree. I feel like Canadians are treated like the jerk cousins at Thanksgiving dinner.

Not sure what your point is.
List on eBay.ca and get discounted parcel shipping from Canada Post through PayPal.
eBay.ca just needs to do a better job at getting higher discounts from Canada Post.

With a Canadian management team of only 6 persons, who is going to negotiate with Canada Post?

True, but calculated shipping only works on eBay.ca.

Light packet and letter mail are not parcel classes of mail service.
When I send letter mail my average discount is in the 25-30% range.
Good discounts for mint, unused stamps can be found if you pay attention to the details in ebay Canadian stamp listings.

I think you are missing the topic. I use discounted postage as well. but that is not the issue here. It is also available in the US.
We are comparing Canada Post to USPS with rates and tracking and how they do much better than Canadians do. Canada Post sucks rate wise compared to USPS even after their rates go up. The biggest issue for me is domestic shipping and tracking.
This is what needs to be fixed. Maybe Trudeau will give them enough money to stop the gouging and give us cheap tracking like they have in the US.

Also, try to insure letter mail in Canada, and it can go on and on. Plus CP has a lot more exclusions for insurance. They literally are totally useless for ecommerce.
