It hasn't been available for a few years. EBay really cracked down on member to member contact- to the extent that Messaging followed by removal of a listing is often considered a sign of an off-eBay sale and fees are levied on the removed listing.

You may be able to find the email on the Paypal  invoice/payment. Check under Refund.

For UPS and Canada Post, just use your own. But it may be an option. Look again. If you are buying the  shipping label through eBay, Shippo, or Paypal  they should automatically be adding the email address.

Your tax remittance number should be on all your invoices.  When you filled in the Tax part  of the Sell Your Item form, that number was demanded there.

Are you actually registered to collect and remit GST/PST/HST/QST? If you are not, do not attempt to do so, Revenue Canada gets tetchy about that.

@femmefan1946

Having a correct current email email address/phone number are both required information when creating a ticket for tracing or making a claim with the postal services. Quite often when an order has taken forever this information is no longer available in eBay or PayPal. Delays the process big time.

Regarding the other number referred to in the original post, either a Federal Tax ID (Business) or SIN number ( US citizen) is required for customs with couriers.(UPS/FEDEX etc) for shipping to the USA for any shipments requiring a formal entry.

If you use Sellers Hub, you can see the buyers email by accessing order details. It is on the right side under purchase details.  I believe that it is only available there  for 2 weeks.

You can also find it on the email sent to you by Paypal when the item was paid for. Hover your mouse over the name on the reply to and their email address will pop up.

eBay no longer provide buyer's email address

Hi.  I tried that, no luck.  Canada Post requires email address so they can contact the buyer.  The item I send never arrived, just sitting in Chicago for 2 months.  So how the heck I am supposed to get the email address for Canada Post and what is the worst the  buyer cannot give me the email address through the eBay system.  Anyone knew what to do?  Thanks in advance.

Even the phone numbers disappear!!  From now on I will write down their phone numbers on the PayPal invoice just in case.  eBay and PayPal is not doing a good business in that area with no email addresses and no phone numbers (after some time later).  Sheesh!!

eBay no longer provide buyer's email address

My emails about each transaction were viewed...

and... the email address is on this transaction email...

A copy of this transaction email is my record of each transaction.

The telephone number of the buyer is shown in the order details for each transaction.

There is an option on eBay where a seller can state that a buyer's telephone is required.

This number is required specifically  when a customs form is filled out.
