Two important factors come out from a quick analysis of the 2013 report as far as eBay sellers are concerned:
"Marketplaces gross merchandise volume (GMV) excluding vehicles grew 13% in both the fourth quarter and full year totaling $76.5 billion in 2013, driven primarily by strong growth in its domestic business.
Marketplaces gained 4.6 million active users in the quarter and ended the year with 128 million active users.
Its U.S. business grew 14% in the fourth quarter and 15% for the full year, generating $30.4 billion in GMV excluding vehicles for the year.
Its international business grew 12% in the quarter and for the full year, generating $46.1 billion in GMV excluding vehicles for the year.
Mobile continued to gain traction during 2013 with 40% of all GMV in the fourth quarter involving a mobile device touch point, resulting in $22 billion in mobile commerce volume for the full year.
Fixed price GMV excluding vehicles grew 19% globally in the fourth quarter and represented 73% of total GMV."
Translation: sales by sellers (GMV) keep increasing at a rapid rate of growth and transactions at fixed price have grown to 73% of the total volume leaving only 27% for auction style transactions. Overall business on eBay.com is growing faster than international sites.
Management has also made it clear that they will keep PayPal fully integrated with eBay and not sell it separately, despite pressure from some shareholders for eBay to cash in on their PayPal investment.

Funny how even without looking at the report, I'd say a lot of us would feel these statements would be an accurate description of the past year based simply on individual, everyday experience here.
