"Time Away" Glitch - Not Hiding All Listings For Vacation

I was planning to hide my listings tomorrow to deal with an upcoming 10 day vacation.

Today I just happened to notice I can't see any listings for a favorite seller - so she's likely on vacation. Only, I can see her SOLD items, and still buy BIN items from there that were sold as multiples or variation. Is this a back door into the 'Time Away' hidden listings feature?

Even if you can find the current listings by using the item number there would not be a Buy button if Time Away is set correctly.

Time Away does not close Auction Listings.

Time Away continues the dumb option of allowing listings to be seen but not allowing them to be purchased.

Search for "Nails Inc", filtered by Canada Location and Sold Items. All 3 sold items are from this same seller in Duncan. All variation listings & listings with multiples still in stock, that cannot be found via item number, and 0 active listings for the seller. But I am able to buy any of the items I find from SOLD listings that are still active.

I know she has a store, so maybe that has a different setting than Time Away for non-store sellers. My "time away" starts tomorrow, so I'll be able to test with my own listings.

In this case, the listings are hidden, but can be found (and purchased) through SOLD Items (that were multiples and still have stock). Is that a different setting for vacation mode?

Are you 100% sure the seller has Time Away turned on?

I'm actually able to find the active listings for the three where I can find the Item Number from the Sold history and make up a URL to suit.

There is nothing to indicate they have Time Away set right now, no standard "this seller is away" message?

Since the listings seem to findable by Item Number as Active, quantity is not set to zero so it's not the use of the Out Of Stock option which leads to the obvious question of why they show up via "see other listings" or by visiting the (empty) Store.

It's an oddity for sure!

I set mine this morning and get the same results, but there are two differences though:

My results include time away messages, and remove the 'Buy It Now' button (with only 'Add to Cart' appearing). Hers have no messages and the 'Buy It Now' still appears.

I'm wondering if her results are different because she has a store and has a different Time Away setting?  Or she is hiding listings for a different reason. Or maybe temporarily banned??? Interesting.

Either way, the glitch remains: the Time Away feature doesn't actually prevent completing a sale, as the documentation claims:

"If a buyer previously added one of your items to their Watchlist or cart and tries to buy it while you're away, they won't be able to complete the purchase..."

I got right until the payment processing on one of my own listings, as a guest...

You didn't go far enough.   I put the Paco  Rabbane parfum into my cart and when I clicked on checkout I got the message that the sellers store was closed for vacation and to try later. I was not able to purchase it.
