Just a guess: I don't think you have enough feedbacks/transaction experience as a SELLER. I looked at your feedback page, and you only have 20 feedbacks as a SELLER. The rest of your feedbacks were as a BUYER which I don't think counts towards seller performance.

The problem is that you do not have enough recent feedback as a seller: 3 in the last five years. Feedback as buyer does not count for the purpose of releasing funds from PayPal.

if the buyer leaves good feedback WHY is my money still held. what a ripoff

How is it a "ripoff" when the seller still gets their money?
ALL casual sellers have to do this. This is in response to quikee scamm artists who would come in, sell a lot, get the money, never send the product. THAT, my friend, is a "ripoff".
This has been in place for three years, I think. It is not new and everyone knows about it.

Ignorance is bliss.
Rant before understanding seems to be the way to go for some.
Why ask questions to find clarity when you can assume everything then get mad when told otherwise.

None of that was directed at you of course.

Exactly.....why find clarity when you can perpetuate chaotic thinking.

why find clarity when you can perpetuate chaotic thinking.
An illustration of that thought. Yesterday, I went to put a new toilet in the wife's bathroom. Before I started I told myself "Expect the unexpected". Bought the dual flusher that stated "everything included, no need for tools". Not quite.
Valve handle on the water outlet in the wall was busted. Back to the store. Flexible water hose from wall out let to tank was rusted. Second trip back to the store. Flange to floor was loose because of half-**bleep**d repairs previous owners did wrong. Had to jerry-rig that tight to the floor using the tools and hardware I wasn't supposed to need.
Step by step, find a problem correct it, anticipate the next problem. Do not yell, swear, blame, get mad, simply deal with it. Did I point fingers? Nope. Did I accuse anyone? Nope. Is it way better than it neds to be? Yup.
What is so wrong with "Wait a minute. Lemme check. What do I need to know? I will expect the unexpected and deal with it."
