2 Nights in a Row someone is trying to hack my account!!!

For the last 2 nights someone has used up my invalid login attempts so that each time I go to log in I have to put in the additional 4 digit code. I had this happen once before but not 2 nights in a row. If it happens again tomorrow I am going thing something is up.

Do you know if there is a way to deal with this if it keeps happening?

No attempts tonight and also no response from eBay. I am thinking it was not as much hacking as it was malicious. I have my hunches that it was related to my recent listings.

Just a quick inquiry, what does the additional 4 digit code refer to?

Hi Jeff,

If you try to sign-in your ebay account 25 times with an incorrect password, then the next time you want to sign-in you will also have to input a 4 digit code that is displayed on the sign-in screen. This 4 digit code changes each time and is displayed as an image.

The purpose of this is to discourage hackers who use programs to auto-generate various combinations of your password. Once you do sign-in successfully the requirement to enter the 4-digit code should disappear within about 12 hours.
