Just wondering if any of you got an email notification about the auction-format listing sale yesterday? I didn't even see a notice for it anywhere on ebay.ca . I only knew about it because of visiting the US Powerseller board yesterday.

Hi dhslk,

I found out when I began listing yesterday and discovered that a promotional rate was being applied. Had I known earlier in the day I would have listed a lot more.

I couldn't find an announcement on .ca either. Today I logged onto .com and found the announcement there in My eBay.

I guess it is too much trouble for them to notify .ca.

There are some complaints of non-notification on the selling board as well.

I didn't get a notice about it, but I don't usually bother with listing sales anyway.

Perhaps ebay didn't want too many extra listings flooding the market and straining the system just before Black Friday - if the site went down again, their name would be emud.:-D

There are some complaints of non-notification on the selling board as well.

Although I did get one noice on one of my id's the reason many did not is probably because about a year ago eBay announced that they would no longer be sending out emails for promo days and that they were only being done through the announcement board.

ALL sellers should go to the following page and set up an RSS feed so that you get ALL the notices and announcements directly to your desktop the instant they are posted.

In theory you can choose email notification as an alternative but it's not so reliable.

It wasn't on the announcement board of ebay.ca either, I hardly ever go onto ebay.com. I only new about it because I read pierre's post!
