A day in the life of an Ebay Powerseller

I thought this would be a fun topic...have sellers here share with us what a typical day at work on your ebay business is like. Whether you are full-time or part-time, be neat to hear about a typical day (or evening) in your ebay life. We won't talk about merchandise, just simply about stuff, like what you do, while you are listing or packing, etc. etc.

For me on listing days I like to wake up at the crack of 9am, put on some shorts, a comfy t-shirt and flip flops and get myself a big glass of juice. I put the TV, which I have my back too, on A&E and proceed to "listen" for the next several hours to all kinds of sinister shows like American Justice and City Confidential while I list. I kinda feel like I'm back in the 50's listening to radio serials and stuff like that. From time to time I'll pause to answer an email that comes in, or have a quick chat with a friend on msn. I like listing days, it's kinda peaceful.

But frankly I wouldn't touch some of those lines for all the tea in China. But it's past time for tea so I think I'll just grab a Royal Albert cup and saucer and have a cup of Earl Grey while I list. I would have some fine wine but I am a tea-totaler!!

Hey, your ball, your rules. I do respect that. Just might have trouble understanding it. I had an auction end last night (Sat) One bidder only, bought item for opening bid of $99.95. Member of eBay for 3 years with zero feedbacks. I wouldn't even think of cancelling his bid. Auction ended and this "zero f/b" buyer, paid for the item before I had a chance to invoice him. And he paid the correct shipping amount. And he wrote to thank me for the auction. And he wrote to say he understands its the weekend and won't expect it to be shipped till early next week. Sure wish I could see some of that in more seasoned ebayers. IMHO of course. PEACE

Woke up at 6 and found, not one sale or offer. Looked at my e-mail to see if there was any "interesting stuff" sent me.... nothing!
I figured I would go have a look at Kat's nude painting for a bit. Looked for a few minutes and thought,
HMMMMM, I wonder what the wife is at?]:)

Aww Kat please...don't tell me you didn't catch the inner message of my humor? No males for me, thank you...honestly I don't know what you girls see in us anyway...hence the popularity of the nude female painting and the lack of male ones...:-)

Hi everyone. Well, I'm a brand new PowerSeller (yay!) & I've enjoyed reading about all your "day in the life of" stories. I definitely have time-envy as it seems a lot of people are able to do this during the day... unfortunately, I work full-time & so ebay tends to take up most of my late evenings/weekends. I try to have listings all prepared throughout the weekend & then have my them scheduled to start/end in the evenings Sunday through Thursday... once the kids are in bed during the week, I'm usually busy shipping my items, responding to emails, sourcing out new product to sell & tracking my sales (the fun part for me)! In addition to working full-time, I have a wonderful wife & three fantastic children (ages 2/4/6) that I try to spend as much time as possible with... any time-saving tips for me?

hiya j-epp...and welcome to powerseller world...it sounds like you already have a grip on your ebay chores as far as time saving goes, and that you have a good pattern that you work by that seems to work well. it sounds like alot!! full time work and powerselling on ebay AND three kids! i guess you could use all the time saving tips you can find! 😉
