I made a purchase & paid immediately. The seller did not leave feedback so after a few days I politely contacted them and asked if they would mind leaving me feedback, as I am a new member and I am trying to build up my FB score. They contacted me and said that they had left the feedback. The star however is not filled in, today they sent me an email asking if I received it yet.

Are you aware that multiple feedback from the same seller, for items purchased in the same week, only count as 1.

You've received loads of feedback lately, so I don't see a problem. You don't say what the item is, or if you only bought the one.
Have you looked at the seller's outgoing feedback? Does the seller leave it on a case-by-case basis after the items are paid? Or does the seller wait until the buyer leaves feedback first? Sellers can do it any time & way they want, if they want, and it's all okay.
Obviously you will know if you have or have not received feedback from a given seller. Either the comment & the seller's user ID is there on your feedback page, or not. But as you have already sent one 'nag note', there is nothing good to come from sending any more. Perhaps when you leave your green positive for the seller you will get some in kind. Most sellers leave it, but if they don't, well, on to the next. Have you seen this link telling all about feedback, with oodles of other related links as well:
