Any solution against abusive e-mails?

Hi Everybody,

I need an advice here. I think it was discussed, but I can not find the thread.

I have had a small e-mail exchange with one guy (you know, one of those “dump question of the day” messages)… So, to make it short, I was a bit ironic in my replies and a guy snapped with F@##$$%% message. Right after that I start getting bunch of anonymous e-mails with more swearing in them. I’m pretty sure that this is the same guy and I know his e-bay id and real e-mail.

If problem persist, can I report him anywhere? Any ideas?

Hey,

The only place you can report him is to his email ISP, all emails clients have a link to email them if receiving abusive emails, trust me, weve had many. One guy i remember even told me i would be killed 😮

Emailing eBay will only get you the same response.

Good luck! My mommy says i'm cool

Any solution against abusive e-mails?

In my experience most ISPs ignore e-mails sent to them about their customers. ISPs take action when law enforcement or big corporations contact them.

If the e-mails contain a specific threats you may be able to contact law enforcment but if the threats are vague threats with no indication that they know details like where you live or who your family members are then you're better off to file one complaint with headers of one of the e-mails received to abuse@nameofthedomainsentfrom.com (most ISPs have an "abuse" e-mail address for things like this). Then set up a filter to have future e-mails from those e-mail addresses sent to your deleted items folder.
