Anyone know how to file complaint with ebay for the following...

I bought something last week and the seller invoiced me $4.50 in shipping despite the auction clearly stating the shipping as $2.66 to Canada. I have emailed the seller twice about this with no reply. I used the contact us link to see if there was a category for this issue and didn't find one. It directs me to reporting a listing violation but none of the categories apply.

Just wanted to add also that the $4.50 shipping is highly inflated. This same item would cost me $1.15 to ship to the US so it's not an issue of the seller mistakingly charging the wrong shipping...even so, if it was me I'd honor the stated shipping.

Geeze you'd think they'd be more interested in getting their DSR's up. So far this seller is at 4.1 for S & H.

If you can't wake them up try leaving some poor/mediocre stars. If they are 4.1 now it should be enough to prevent them from listing.

If they file a NPB on you make sure to clearly comment in the dispute the reasons "seller increased shipping charge after listing ended". This way you can easily appeal any strike you might be given and also retain the right to leave feedback.

Ok thank you recped. I am still giving the seller a few days to respond. I'm a bit surprised I can't find an area to file with ebay for this.

It's not against eBay policy to increase the S&Rh charges after the listing ends..or at least it wasn't last time I checked.. I don't agree with it..what ever the stated S&H was on the auction is all you should have to pay.

I'd leave appropriate feedback also..

Thanks Judy. Yes I am hanging in there but may still look for a job in the fall once the youngest of kids starts school. I need to make a move before I get too old lol...speaking of which I'm anxious to take back my life...have poured too many hours into eBay.

Christmas has been very good though so I'm feeling positive about things right now. Even the boards are much quieter. Everybody must be busy filling orders 🙂

In your MyEbay page, select "Report A Problem" in the drop down list at the right of that item, and file a claim if you feel you have been screwed over.

Hahaha. Seller says they will refund me if they've overcharged (and I know they have) but haven't seen a refund, or shipping confirmation and it's past a week since I paid. Whenever that envelope gets here I will contact them and will leave appropriate feedback. I'm actually usually very leanient on my sellers but some are just too much.

I also ran into the same problems as you when I wanted to complain about 2 different sellers wanting to increase the shipping. 1 seller was very nasty and decided she would no longer honor the shipping fee she gave me in an email. It was so frustrating as it seems there is nothing EBay can do about these sellers. I thought the whole point of all the changes this year was to prevent that. We used to be able to report this as I have done a few times before, but high shipping is no longer a reason.

That said when I started the process with the 1st one I was PS at silver status and my email to EBay was responded to right away and were helpful at that point. 2 days later I was then a PS with bronze status. What a difference in how EBay responded. In the mean time I was barraged with nasty emails from this seller and no help from Ebay. So I refused to pay the shipping this seller was now charging me $18.00 to ship 6 items. Her email to me was for $12.00 for up to 20 items. She demanded I retrack bids and it gave her the creeps that I would be purchasing items and that I might re-sell them in my store. It also gave her the creeps about my meeting my hubby on-line 8 years ago. She had a lot of nasty things to say to me and still continue to harass me. EBay did nothing about any of this. She then canceled several of my bids. Not sure how she was able to do this. If anyone knows how I`d appreciate the info. Anyways she opened UPI, which I still refused to pay and then she closed them in her favor. I appealed them and they were removed.

The 2nd one was going to charge me $23.00 to send 11 items. I had miscounted as I was only going to purchase 10 items for shipping of $9.95. 1-4 items was $4.95. So I asked her several times to at least change the shipping to $9.95 + $4.95 she kept sending me the same invoice. She was also jerking me around about another order I hadn`t received. When I received another order from her that supposedly was to have the not received order as well(it didn`t) I emailed her and she got very nasty. So I left Neg Feed back for the order not received and Neg for the increase in shipping items. That really made her mad and she stated in the PayPal dispute she would no longer honor the combined shipping and I was now to pay $55.00US.

So I again refused to pay the shipping obviously and she opened the UPI`s and closed them the same day. I was really surprised she could do this. Must be something only US sellers can do. I appealed those and the strikes were again removed.

In both cases I was told by Ebay that they would be passing this info on so both sellers could be investigated about the increase in the shipping. One seller is no longer registered.

Being a PS with bronze status now I feel EBay doesn`t back me at all compared to when I was a silver PS. The service level is almost non existent. I get no responses from Trust & Safety except to let me know they have received my email and they will contact me. I have only received contact from them in the very 1st email when I was silver status. Phoning as a bronze PS is also a joke.

So I am going to work hard to get my silver PS back and then barrage them about these issues. Hopefully then I will get a response.

The good thing is though we can leave Neg feed back and the sellers can`t retaliate anymore. Lately that has been my only support with these 2. I was always very reluctant in the past to do this but I won`t tolerate this anymore if EBay is not going to help me.

really? I thought it was a contract. You can't change the cost terms of the contract after its been signed.
