Buying too much stuff at once ?

Wondering if buying too much at once is a problem ? 10 to 20 objects a week ? worrying that the post can't handle the delivery of all the stuff. Considering phoning the post office and asking them to just hold all of it there to reduce the load on the local delivery and to help ensure no package is lost or stolen. Or is this just something not to worry about ? what are your experiences ?

PS - We are in an Apartment.

There are some sellers who restrict the number if items a single buyer can buy in a given period of time. Usually they have had problems in the past with 'thrill bidders', mischiefmakers, or lunatics.

It's your postie's job to deliver your mail. No mail. No job.

At worst the postie will leave a slip in your mailbox directing you to go to the nearest PO to pick up your parcel(s), especially if you are not home when she knocks. This is basically a recipient protection measure since constantly having a pile of parcels on your porch or in your mailbox could be tempting to passersby.

That's called renting a postal box. I think they cost about $30 a month but it's been a few years since I looked into it.

The Post Office should be thanking you.

That's how they make their money and they're always complaining about lack of business.

That said:  I know where you're coming from.

The people actually delivering the mail would rather have less of it to delver especially when they're delivering parcels.

However, they should be thanking you because you are the one paying their salaries.

Nothing to apologize for.  They should give out prizes to shoppers like us.  🙂
