Can't compete with USA shippers on identical Products

What's your opinion on the USA shippers into Canada?  It's my opinion that the seller's who aren't using the Global Shipping Program are able to send their matching products here cheaper than we can send to our fellow Canadians.  To turn the table, I can ship via Small Packet Air to USA on some items than I can my fellow Canadians.

Yes, I have shipped small packet uninsured and so will now expose publicly my own method for treating my obsession/addiction to tracking and insurance. I am gaining confidence to ship items of increasing value (say $75 and over) without tracking/insurance. I have tried to put into practice the fine advice and from you and others on this matter. So far so good and if and when package is 'lost', I will assess my reaction. But the good old days pre Jan 2013 would be less stressful....
