Can we hide revisions?

Anyone know, if it's possible to hide revisions?  Since the revisions are now the new details, why is it necessary to show what was revised?  Since there can be site issues of other sorts, it seems to me, it would make sense to streamline, and get rid of old data.  Why waste space on useless information.  It serves no purpose to prospective buyers.  I would just like the option to make changes, without the details showing.

Do you mean revisions to running listings?

I would think that would be to allow watchers to confirm that the item they planned to bid on was still the item they want. For example revising an open listing from a red sweater to a blue sweater. Or ten items in a lot to five items.

Or do you mean revising a closed listing on relist /sell similar?

I don't think those revisions do show.

Yes, when an active listing has no bids and no watchers, but several viewers, I may revise, to try to find the right formula. Since viewers from that point, only sees the revised format, what's the point of showing the revisions? It may appear, that a seller is desperate and uncertain about the items for sale, and may deter buyers. Still don't understand why the web designers made it part of the listing site. It is like showing your sketchpad along with the final design to your customer. Very unprofessional.

It only shows what area you revised not the actual revision. Look at mine, for example.

It's Good Until Cancelled. I might revise it another dozen times, it doesn't bother me. It's not as if anyone can send the Grammar Police after the fact. Don't sweat it.

Some of those viewers may have entered a snipe bid with a sniping service. Although it would be wiser to put a watch on it and bid later (manual, manual snipe or electronic snipe).

At least with the revisions showing, the reason why the sniping buyer might be unhappy would be more evident.

It's a stretch, of course.
