I came across a Canada Post Shipping Calculator for insertion into listings. It is very customizable.
You can specify
- the types of mailing services to be displayed,
- the exchange rate
- a handling fee
- a discount % rate by service (for those getting a discount from Canada Post)
- the countries you want it to apply to
- and probably a few more things that I can't remember.
Its well worth a look. You can find a listing for it here.
Hi everyone! I'm a new Powerseller, and I've appreciated the forum (it appears to be the most valuable Powerseller tool!). Here's a CP calculator I've found that may be of use to anyone with a bit of php understanding, I'm considering implementing this shortly.
The difference between the 2 calculators is that the first one works, is fully functional and customizable. The second one, could not be customized and would only show shipping from one postal code making it of little use.
Canada Post makes the specs available for anyone with programming experience to write their own shipping calculator.
This is a neat idea -- the guy's sure trying to set himself up for a nice recurring income. It's too bad there isn't some integration on the part of eBay to "combine auctions" automatically to generate estimated shipping. My auctions almost always need to be combined. 🙂
