I've been told that CanadaPost's Prepaid Xpresspost-USA envelopes are for documents only. Is this true? Have anyone tried to ship something other than documents and successfully arrived? or they will be returned if they are non-documents?

The USA ones say right on them "documents only". There is no customs form for them.

Lots of reports of people putting items in them and mailing them, or CP staffers telling people they can.

don't know how widepread this is supposed to be distributed, but grab a couple free here

Just a warning that if you SEND something other than documents and US CUSTOMS opens it and/or the envelope is scanned and they discover something other than documents you most likely can and will be BLACKLISTED by US CUSTOMS and all your subsequent shipments will be considerably delayed...any further violations can also get you in even more trouble -- NOT WORTH THE RISK TO YOUR BUSINESS.

Got any concrete proof of this? No such thing as being blacklisted by US Customs.

Just a note on this; in my experience its NOT WORTH IT, as you have NO INSURANCE COVERAGE (read the fine print on the envelope), You are MUCH BETTER OFF to ship via EXPRESS POST properly or use EXPEDITED or even Small Packet Air (you will at least have up to $100.00 isureance coverage that way).

That's my experience, and I've shipped ALL OF THE ABOVE ways, and that's what I've found.

Best of luck! 🙂

Jakeangel, the only proof I have is that what I am told by my wife's uncle in Buffalo who worked as a US CUSTOMS agent for 22yrs. The BLACKLIST does exist albeit unofficially.

I didn't receive these offers, someone sent the links. I got the USA one previously posted on a card in the mail. No idea if they're just for anyone to sign up. I have received the USA envelopes already.
