Censorship on the forum

Twice my post has been put down by eBay moderators. Twice unwarranted.

First time I posted address of my mailbox company. We are not allowed to post "people's" addresses. Hello, I am renting the address, it's mine.

Second time I mentioned Craig Newmark's site. We are not allowed to mention commercial websites. Hello, this one is non-profit.

I explained this to them. No response. Not even negative one.

Whatever. Frustrating part is that sometimes one spends close to half an hour writing a response to help other member here only to be deleted by eBay moderator looking to make other people more miserable then they are.

There is a lot of really good info on this forum and NONE of it was contributed by eBay paid employee. I hope I have helped some. I have been definitely been helped here. Thank you. I no longer want to contribute extending the misery of moderators. If the board dies, their service will not be needed and they can finally move on. Good luck.

You get used to it.

There are a whole bunch of people with nothing better to do than report other people's posts.

And the moderators are just grunts - they see a report, they pull the post.

There's a lot of busy bodies on here that don't have anything better to do sometimes.

But....half an hour to type a post???? Holy! Take some typing lessons to improve your speed. Unless you're typing something that's going to scroll for 12 inches down the screen, you shouldn't be taking half an hour to type a post.

There is no eBay moderator. Moderator implies someone will look at it and 'moderate' or judge it. That's not the case. People push buttons & the monkeys at Liveworld press delete on their end.

Just shrug and move on. There's nothing else you can do about it.

Surplus, there is nothing there to be slapped for.

Jake, sometimes one needs to research facts before hitting submit. It takes tome to say something useful.

I heavily reduce emails and posts during proof-reading. People are more likely to read 3 than 30 lines. Many times on several boards including this one I had 10-minute response written and proof-read and then decided that it was not necessary, helping nor entertaining, so I clicked away.

During my last job I had a boss who kept sending long long emails to everyone. Nobody was reading them.

Btw. eBay folks just do their job. Cannot blame them.

It must be frustrating to be close to minimum wage, wondering every morning if this is the last day, and reading all day happy twitter of PowerSeller, working in their pajamas, talking about making more money.

I just 30 minutes typing a post..
it was rude.. dirty, disgusting and bound to offend someone..

but then I took a sip of coffee and realized that I'd be wasting everyones time..
