Contgrats to you to for both getting the great exposure in the Vancouver Sun today! I was featured in a full pager in the Sun 3 weeks ago. As I keep my online business as a side thing from my regular business (but sell the same items) the article only discussed my buying habits. I didn't mention my selling.

Now the really amazing part

I got a phone call yesterday after noon , the day the paper came out . Seems Martech College staff from Edmonton came to Vancouver this weekend for an Ebay coarse . This was put on by an Independant company . Two of the main head staff had gone too the Ebay coarse in Edmonton, they recommend the coarse to the other staff members . They booked all the flights and the hotels . Early this week they called the company to confirm , the Ebay coarse.

The company axed the coarsed but failed to tell the teachers and 150 others . They got stuck with the hotel and the flights. So he read the paper , saw my web site listed . He called the office and asking if I would mind coming down and teach the College Staff for $400 for 3 hours WOW!!

I just finished , they enjoyed me talking about Ebay so much . They are going to fly me to the College in Edmonton to teach the students

Terrific article, terrific eBayer. And that was good advice for people wanting to get into eBay thinking they are going to make a million dollars selling their own junk.

Reminds me of a freind who drove to my house last year with his car filled with left-over garbage thinking I could sell it for him and put a couple of thousand in his pocket.

Its a real myth to so many because they hear stories of someone selling a peanut shaped like Marylyn Monroe for $2,000 or something similar.

Malcolm, the only way I WOULD sell other peoples junk is to work on 15%. I think thats fair right? Give the person 15% of profits after all fees are paid!!

Sounds great! There are going to be more and more companies like yours, not that I think it will take away business. If you can imagine how many people would like to get rid of stuff but don't have the courage or enough stuff to have a garage sale.

I would like to invest in Ebay stock but every time I mention it to my broker he tells me its an awesome company but still way overvalued. Seems he told me this last year and the stock as skyrocketed since. I think I know what I'll do with my tax return this year!

Great to hear people with experience are informing the public about ebay...almost threwup the other day...some guy in an info commercial was selling an"Ebay Program" including thousands of things you can buy from wholesalers and make a fortune ...LOL
There seem to be a sucker born everyday....I hate to see people being taken advantage of like that....
