Combined Shipping Glitch...

I don't know how many others are experiencing this, but when buyers pay for multiple purchases with one payment eBay is charging them the full rate for each item. It's a pain in the a@@ when I have to issue refund because they pay for things separately. It is extremely annoying when I have to issue a refund when they paid for all with one payment and shipping doesn't combine because of an eBay glitch.

You would think that buyers, especially repeat customers, would notice that they are being overcharged and contact the seller. But then again, this is eBay and we all know that most of them don't read the descriptions or the shipping terms.

I hope they fix this glitch really fast because it is getting busy again and we have better things to do...like listing.

(I used flat rate shipping for all but one line of products).

Combined Shipping Glitch...

Same here today and, yes, some buyers seem to get two choices at times.

We are also not getting all Paypal shipping notifications show up in our email now either. Sometimes it is showing as item paid in my eBay, but not in our reg. email as Paypal payment notifications (which we really need for each item, as we reply to those for our final shipping emails to our buyers)
Anyone else experiencing this?

I have also noticed that for awhile now many U.S. buyers are paying the International shipping rate instead of the U.S. rate which is less.

Check your listings.

If you have N and S America or USA checked off in the list of international countries you will ship to, eBay will default to the international rate for the USA even though you also have a separately listed rate for the USA

Paypal shipping notifications are, once again, hit and miss.

On those transactions where we do not get a notification, I simply use one of the purchase confirmations and C & P the email address into the "to" line.

Femmefan,

As we have been doing for years, we have 3 shipping categories. One for Canada, one for USA (as International) and another International one for all countries outside of USA and Canada.

Only recently have some (and only some) buyers in the USA been given 2 choices.

I have had the same 3 categories as Bernie for the past 4 years and very rarely had a buyer pay the international rate in the past...although it did happen on occasion. Lately, though, it seems to be happening more often.

Maybe the buyers get confused when they see U.S. in the category and choose the international rate because it is being shipped from Canada. Or perhaps they think they will get a faster shipping service by choosing the more expensive of the two. At any rate, I didn't know they were given a choice. It should be automatic when they purchase from the U.S.
